Ring Memories

I woke up and Bret wasn't in bed with me. I looked around and I saw a trail of rose petals. I got up and got dressed in his shirt and a pair of shorts as I hobbled in the direction of the petals.

It led all the way to the kitchen and there was a hot breakfast waiting for me but still no Bret. There was a note though.

Go to the place where you lived with your band.

What is going on? I quickly ate my breakfast and ran up stairs and gotready real quick and I got into the car and went to the band house. I walked in and saw more rose petals and it led to me room. On the pillow there was yet another note.

Go to Kings Bar and ask the bartender for the order underneath my name.

I sighed and got back into the car and drove to Kings Bar. I went up to the bartender and asked for Bret's order.
It was milkshake and taped to the straw was another note.

Go to the park and go to the swings.

Kind of getting tired of all of this driving around. I took the milkshake to go and I sipped it as I drove to the park. I went to the swings and I saw a rose. Taped to it was a note saying to look under the slide. I quickly ran over to the slide and I didn't see anything. Well damn. I crawled up the twisty slide and found another note.

Last Note: Head straight into the middle of the field.

Because that's not creepy at all. Well here goes nothing I guess. I started walking and I walked slow just because I wasn't so sure about all of this. I loved the scenery around this field though. Trees were swaying in the gentle wind and it was leading me towards my stopping point. I saw a bunny run in front of me and scamper forward.

I then realized it was already 5 p.m. and I was hungry again. This day has gone by fast. Soon I saw a tree in the middle of no where and I saw Bret standing under it with a rose in his hand. As I emerged closer I could see there was a small table in the clearing under the tree and it had food there as well.

"Bret?"

"Hey baby," he said as he met me halfway and hugged and kissed me.

"What's going on? Why have I been all over town today?"

"I just wanted to do something romantic for my girl."

"You're too sweet love."

"Come let's sit," he said as he pulled my chair out for me. I sat down and he went to his seat and sat down.

"Steak and mashed potatoes with green beans, from that place you love."

"Now you're being way too sweet what's going on?"

"Nothing I just want to spoil you."

"Uh huh." I started eating and it was so good. I thought I was going to die it was so good. Bret just kept smiling over at me. What is he planning? Is this because we had sex last night?

"Bret about last night..."

"Baby, you were perfect. Just like always. You've always been perfect."

"That can't happen all the time though."

"I know. And I'll be here when you're ready again. I'm not leaving you."
