Dear Louis,

I admire you, Superman. I really do.

I won't go into detail, because you already lived it, but the reason I admire you is because you're so strong even after all the crap everyone puts you through. All the crap your dad puts you through. I'm so thankful I walked you home that day. I'm scared of what your dad might've done if I didn't save you.

I can't believe what I heard or saw. You're so amazing and strong. Please, Louis, just know this: you are nothing what your father says you are. You are not at all like your dad, you are none of the things he calls you, and you do not deserved to get slapped or beat. I promise.

You are not worthless, you are not useless, you are not a failure, you are not a screw up. You are not any of those awful things your father calls you. You do not deserve to beaten.  I promise

I love you, Louis. I love you so much. I'm so sorry for every single thing that happens to you. I love you.

Now I just wish I could tell you that.

Guess what? I think you're starting to like me as more then a friend also! When I went over to your house we went up in your room so I could "tutor" you (that's the excuse we used, remember?), but when we got up there we didn't know what to do. You had drawings all over your walls, paintings too. I asked if you drew them and painted them and you said "yes. it's my hidden talent.". I told you what a wonderful job you did (because let me tell you they were beyond beautiful), you shrugged it off like it was nothing, probably because you didn't want to believe me.

Anyways I suggested we draw (even though I saw at it) and you said "ok". So we drew. You ended up drawing the rose from beauty and a beast and I, well I drew a stick figure with a mustache, top hat and a blue and red cape. On the side I wrote "You're my superman, Lou".

You handed me the drawing of a rose and said "it's for you. I don't have enough money to buy real roses so I thought I'd draw you one and give you it, that way it will never die just like our friendship."

I think that's when my heart problems started.

So I took it and endlessly thanked you then I gave you my sad excuse for a drawing. You smiled your adorable goofy smile, grabbed tape and then taped it to your wall of art, right smack-dab in the middle.

Then you said this: "this is my wall of art. I put the art that I'm most proud of on this wall. I've been saving the middle spot for the best, most special work of art that is my favorite. Looks like I found it."

And that's when I died.

I love you, Lou. You're my superman.

-Your Belle

so fun fact: in this book Belle and Louis are going to college, because Louis is 19 when he tries out for the x-factor and he can't be 19 and still in high school. SO yup.
