I got to the airport and grabbed my bags grudgingly, it was dark here in London and the dark shadows of night had cast its spell. I had a woman come and tell me that the pap’s were waiting, but Sam was waiting straight out of the terminal.
I thanked her and walked through customs and so forth before meeting the bright white glare of the cameras. I stopped smiled and pulled an exaggerated pose before laughing and kept going. If they were going to take a photo why not make it a good one, or a funny one, I think as I walked past them to where the black car was waiting. A bunch of camera’s followed and pressed closer like a bandage on a throbbing wound. I pushed my hand into one and semi fell, semi clambered into the car as Sam threw my bag in the boot. The door slammed shut and I let out a small yelp when I felt warm flesh close over my eyes.
“Guess who?” Jay whispered into my ear and my heart thumped faster and faster.
“The post man,” I joked trying to sound as serious as possible, but it failed when I giggled and rolled over so I was pressed into his chest. There was two knocks on the door and then Sam jumped into the driver’s seat and slammed the door behind him.
“God Arry you need to get some paparazzi repellent or something,” Sam said and looked over to the two of us.
Jay still hadn’t moved his hands from my eyes, but I could hear the huff that Sam made and he started the car and kicked it into gear. When we started going I lifted my hands and slowly pried away Jay’s fingers until I saw his ocean blue eyes. I grinned with a sudden happiness. He leant down and kissed me, his hands running through my hair and pressing my face close to his. After a moment we pulled away panting and I let a hand stray to his waist, the other was placed on his chest and started to pull at the blue and black checked shirt he wore. We kissed again, in rushed and urgent movements that made me feel giddy and excited. I pulled away and he kissed my neck,
“I missed you,” I say through gasps and small uncontrollable groans. He kissed his way up my neck and across my jawline until he found my lips again. He pulled away after another set of heavy kisses,
“I missed you too,” he said pushing away a lock of hair. I smiled and pressed my face against his, our noses meeting and our eyes locking. I store into them, watching them like I would watch the ocean and in their distant rolls and turns the winds shifted and I whispered,
“I could…” I stopped myself realising how stupid it would sound, he raised his eyebrows and his eyes begged me to keep going. “… I could really do with a sleep in,” I say quickly and gave a smile. The wish in his eyes disappeared and with it something else but he nodded and brought his arms closer around me.
…
Jay ended up staying the night and fought with Bingo for a place in the bed, after a moment when we thought that he had retreated to the rug he clambered up in between both of us and licked Jay’s face. I giggled and poked my tongue at Jay who ended up scooping me in his arms, holding me close to his chest. Close enough that I felt his unsteady breath against the back of my neck and smell his warm, scent. Or do guys call it musk? A man’s musk…I thought before drifting asleep with his arms close to me.
