Mistalee_ is an account home to some amazing books like 'Is He A She?!' which had 217k reads and 'Confessions' which has 35k reads. She was lovely to interview and here is what she had to say!

Why did you download Wattpad?

I was a naive 14 year old searching for a free means to read books that I couldn't get in my bookstore and thought Wattpad was a site where we had free pdf of such bestsellers (I'm dying at my idiocy).

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on Wattpad since I've always wanted to share my writing to people. But it took a lot of courage to actually do it.

How did it feel to hit 100k reads for the first time?

Magical.

For a moment, I was dumbstruck when I saw the digit because, honestly, I thought my book wouldn't fare 10k reads let alone 100k. You could say I was the happiest potato in the whole of my muffin world then :')

What's your favourite book on Wattpad?

I've read many but I'd go with Storm and Silence series by @RobThier

Who are your writing inspirations?

I'm just one of those girls who gets excited over every idea I get and writes it down. But if I've to go with things that inspire me to a certain extent, it would be life and the people I meet. And anime. Yep, always anime.

What's the best part about writing on Wattpad?

The readers definitely! Wattpad has an amazing platform where writers and readers can interact very well. And I personally think that for new, aspiring writers like me, interaction between a writer and their readers is a must since we need feedback. And Wattpad is just the right site for feedback, support and exposure. It's an awesome package 😀

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

I know this sounds overused or even borderline clichéd but guys, never give up writing. It's true that you won't get 86468k reads over a single night. Or maybe you've seen some books get them in like five days. That's luck and not everyone on this site has the timing. But over time, slowly, you'll get there.

Wattpad's interface has changed so much. I've been on this site for three years where I've been a writer for almost two years, and the changes are very noticeable. So keep updating, have an eye catching cover, a good title (let go of the stereotypes already) and make a few faithful friends before you plunge into publishing your book.

And trust me, the changes might seem minor but before you know it, people will be reading your book and though it might not be the next Wattys winner, it'll sure be loved by many 😀
