justamk is an amazing account on Wattpad, and has written works such as 'Moonlight' which has 7k reads, and 'Sunshine' which has 2.9k. Also they have beautiful book covers! This is my interview with them.

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on Wattpad because I wanted to be an author. While I have realized that becoming a published author isn't the most realistic goal for me, it's something I love, and that's why I've kept it up these past two years.

Which book has been your favourite to write?

My favorite book to write was my story Moonlight, which I finished about a week ago. It's a story about a boy who grows up in extreme circumstances and it takes a deeper look at abuse and mental illness. It received so much love and support, and it was something that really pushed me out of my comfort zone with my writing style.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from things I see around me, and often don't agree with. I saw a lot of stories about mental illness and abuse being romanticized, I wrote to show the true side of it. I also sometimes get inspiration from music, from artists like Imagine Dragons, Bring Me The Horizon, and Fall Out Boy.

What's the best part about writing on Wattpad?

The best part about writing on Wattpad is connecting with my readers and getting so much great feedback, and constructive criticism. My readers have really encouraged me, and I love getting to connect with them. Seriously, send me a pm or dm anytime, I'd love to get to know more of you.

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

My proudest moment was when my story Moonlight was ranked #39 in the Short Story category, here on Wattpad. That was amazing for me. A close second would probably be when I got the email that I had been selected to be a featured in the Wattpad Block Party this August, which I'm beyond excited to be a part of.

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

For a new writer, I'd just tell them to remember that we all started small. Even the Wattpad stars started out with no followers, we've all been there. I've still got a long way to go, but you can't get frustrated. Just keep writing, get people to review your story, interact with other authors here, and stay positive. As cheesy as it sounds, that's the best advice I can give, and I hope that any new authors take it to heart.
