tympanic is an account home to some beautiful books such as 'Talking Bodies' which has 683k reads and 'Shit Happens' which has 336k reads. It was lovely to interview them and this is what they had to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

It actually came out of jealousy, if you believe me. My friend posted a story on Wattpad, (because I had introduced her to this wonderful site) and I just jumped to write my own story too. #competitiveaf

Which book has been the most fun to write?

Most fun, would definitely be 'Talking Bodies'. I love every character of that book. Though I do like ranting about boys in 'Fifty Shades of Boys' too!

What did it feel like to hit 100k reads for the first time?

One word - PHENOMENAL. I was crying the whole evening

Which book are you most proud of?

In terms of popularity, it's definitely 'Talking Bodies'. But in terms of sentiment, I think I'm most proud of 'Shit Happens'. I still can't believe how I managed to handle sensitive issues such as depression without getting a slightest sliver of hate from anyone. That book has a special meaning to me.

What's the best part about writing on Wattpad?

The fact that people like you solely on your talent. There is nothing materialistic about wattpad.

What's one thing you wish your followers knew about you?

That I am totally a loser, probably bigger than they think they are. And that I love how happy they make me!

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

Hmm, this is always tough because I'm not great with advices. But here's the thing—just write for yourself. Not for the reads, or the fans or popularity. Just write for yourself. Whatever has to follow will follow. Not everyone has the talent to string their thoughts into words. Exploit your talent and I promise you, it'll be the best feeling ever.
