lovatic_chica is a lovely account that is home to books such as 'Silence' which has 5.6 million reads, and they have 5k followers! It was great to interview them, and here is what they had to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing because at first I was a reader on Wattpad, and started getting ideas and seeing things people weren't writing about. A lot of the books I saw were the same thing over and over again so I decided to try my hand at writing. I've always been a creative person, and thought up scenarios in my head, so I just put them on paper.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get my inspiration from everyday life events, or sometimes it's a quote. I've begun to branch out and write things separate from fan fiction, which has been so much fun. The world around me is my inspiration.

Which book has been the most fun to write?

The book that was the most fun to write probably was Silence, because I was getting a huge response and I incorporated readers into the characters. It blew up so fast my motivation to write was through the roof. Don't Tell Mom was also a really fun one, mostly because I was able to bring a lot of things no one talks about into conversation, and I wrote a lot of books that I was able to tie into that series.

What's your proudest moment on Wattpad?

One of my proudest moment on Wattpad was when Silence hit 1 Million reads. It felt surreal, and something I was extremely proud of. I sometimes doubt my writing, but I mostly stopped after that. Another moment was when I was offered the chance to be a part of the Wattpad futures program, which is a program that allows writers to profit off of Wattpad.

What's the hardest part about writing on writing?

The hardest part about writing is getting out regular updates. Anyone who follows my work knows I suck at that. When I'm motivated, I try to write as much as I can to build up a draft list so when I'm not motivated, I still have chapters to publish. I probably have over 100 unpublished books.

What's one thing you wish your followers knew about you?

One thing I wish my followers knew about me is that I do have a life. And sometimes, life gets in the way. Mental Illness does play a huge part in my writing and how often I write, so even when I want to write, I physically can't because of how my mind is working.

And finally, what advice would you give a new writer on Wattpad?

The advice I can give to a person on Wattpad is to write and put out as much content as you can, and to not think about the number of reads getting into the millions. Take every milestone as a success. You can literally go back into the author's notes of silence and see my excitement about hitting 100 reads, and then 300, and I still celebrate every time one of my smaller stories reaches a milestone, and it helps to keep a lesson of humility.
