N_D_Iverson is an amazing writer, and is the author of the 'This Would Be Paradise' series which is well-loved all over Wattpad, Book 1 having over 2 million reads. It was amazing to interview them and here is what they had to say!
Why did you start writing on Wattpad?
I started writing on Wattpad after I found FictionPress.com didn't have a big enough audience. I wanted a place to post my work and to get feedback.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get inspiration from music, tv shows and movies, also from all the daydreaming ;)
Which book has been the most fun to write?
I've only written 3 full books and is say the first book of my TWBP series was the most fun to write because there was no expectation or pressure to write it. It was purely for the fun of it.
How did it feel to hit 1 million reads for the first time?
It was pretty exciting to see that number roll over to 1 million. When I started posting my first story I never thought I'd be there, but persistence pays off!
What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?
The truth? Some of the comments can be hard to deal with on Wattpad. Most people on here are pretty respectful, but there are some that really should have their keyboards taken away from them!
What's been your proudest moment as a writer?
Seeing my book up for sale and having people buy it (and not just pity buys from family members :P).
And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?
Keep at it. Just because your book doesn't hit 1 million reads in 2 days doesn't mean you fail. It took me a year to gain momentum and if I had stopped back when I first posted, then I wouldn't be where I am today!
