courtxmae is a brilliant writer on Wattpad, and has written books such as 'Sugar Daddy' which has 976k reads, and they have over 6k followers. It was great to interview them and here is what they had to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I've always loved writing and always will. Ever since I was able to fully write sentences, I started writing and I haven't stopped. But a friend of mine told me about this book she was reading and she linked me to a website, Wattpad. She told me that people can read books for free and even post their own stories and she suggested I do that. So, here I am now.

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

My proudest moment throws me back all the way to late 2014 or early 2015 when I had posted my first book, Infinity. I wrote chapters daily and I always responded to comments and then one day I looked at my reads and saw I had 100 reads and I started crying. I didn't think I would get that many reads and now I'm so close to a million. It's insane to think about.

Which book has been the most fun to write?

Definitely a toss up between Erotic and Freak Show!

What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?

The hardest part is when people feel the need to be hateful in the comments about the work you've spent hours or days working on.

What's your favourite book that you've written?

Favorite book I've written so far is All Over Me!

Where do you see your account in one year?

Hopefully my account isn't dead in a year and I'm published.

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

For any new writer joining Wattpad, all I have to say is: write what YOU want to write. Don't write what everyone else is writing because it's getting views, stick to who you are and always believe in your ability to bring stories to life. Don't compare your work to someone else's, it'll never make you feel better. Not all art is the same and everyone admires it differently.
