Monrosey is an amazing writer on Wattpad who has written massively successful books such as 'The Secret' which has 5.4 million reads as well as 'Strawberry Wine' which has 951k reads (and has been published). It was amazing to interview her and here is what she had to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on Wattpad as a distraction. When I first discovered this site, I'd just recently lost a family member and everyone around me was very sad. I'd always wanted to try writing and wattpad gave me a place to test the waters. I stumbled across it just when I needed it most!

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

I've had a few proudest moments on Wattpad! The first one came when I won a HQ Love Watty award. I was so happy and shocked! I just couldn't believe i was chosen. The second moment came when I won The Write Affair contest and found out my story STRAWBERRY WINE was going to be published through Kensington Publishing. Right now it's available for purchase on Amazon and at all major book stores. And my third proudest moment was when I found out I was accepted into the Star Program. I'm still trying to let that one sink in!

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I believe inspiration is everywhere, and I've found it in the most unlikely of places. So many story ideas come from just living life or learning from the past. All you have to do is keep an open mind and inspiration will strike!

Which book has been the most fun to write?

I had the BEST time writing my story THE SECRET! I was so excited about the plot and characters, I just fell in love with them. And posting that story and engaging with readers is something I'll never forget. It was an amazing experience! Everyone was so excited when I posted a new chapter, and they were all so sweet and encouraging. I just love our community!

Are you planning on writing anymore books?

I have several stories I'm working on, and I'm just trying to decide which one to concentrate on first. I'd like to try something new to me, maybe YA next. Keep an eye on my profile, something's coming very soon! :)

What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?

The hardest part about writing on Wattpad is finding the time to keep up with all of my stories. Currently, everything on my profile is complete, but responding to comments on all of my work has become a huge challenge. There have been times when I've spent 8 hours a day responding to readers! It can be difficult to juggle when I'm also trying to time with my family and work at my full time job!

Any finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

The best piece of advice that I can give a new writer is to believe in yourself and your work. Don't fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others because everyone writes differently. Your words are what make YOU unique. Never forget that. :)
