kimnamsoon is an amazing writer on Wattpad, who has written books such as 'personal slave' which has 249k reads, and 'our secret' which has over 70k reads! It was brilliant to interview them!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

To be honest, I only discovered the app early this year through my friend who told me that there were a lot of amazing fanfictions / stories in this site. On my first month of stay, I decided to use my account only for reading purposes but as I've read wonderful works made by my now favorite authors, they inspired me to also do the same and create my own work.

Which of the characters you've created has been your favourite and why?

Since all I have written so far are fanfictions, I did not create my own protagonists but I did 'mold' their personalities and how do they act on a certain story. But I did have original characters to further support the plot I've been making. There was this one year old kid on one of my fanfiction series, "Countdown" named "Park Mochi" and he plays the role as Park Jimin's son, he was really fun to describe.

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

Probably the proudest moment I've had on wattpad was whenever readers private message me long notes about how they really liked my work and made them feel different emotions while reading, how they can't wait for another update and how they clicked so fast whenever they receive a notification. I feel so happy that they want another update and I feel glad knowing feelings that I want them to feel translate through words.

Where do you see your account in six months?

Possibly finishing another one of my currently on going books? Other than that, I don't really know for sure. But hopefully by then I still have my passion / interest in writing so I can continue doing what I am doing at the moment.

What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?

For me, finding the inspiration to write or having an author's block. That feeling when you want a certain event to happen in your story but you don't know how to get there.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

To be honest, I am not really confident at my own works ( even up to now ), probably because I never wrote before and this is actually my first time. Though thanks to the readers who tell me that they like my work and are encouraging me and continues to show their support, I am inspired to write more. ( Plus reading their comments is such a joy for me. )

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

Truthfully, I still consider myself as a newbie here on wattpad. But if I were to give an advice to those who are just starting at exactly right now, I want to tell them to do not be "bandwagon-ed", just write something that they're actually enjoying making and never force their selves to do something that they're not comfortable to do.  Readers with same interests as you would definitely come and read your amazing work.
