so1tgoes is an account home to 'The Runner Series' which has accumulated a large fan base, with the first book 'The Runner' reaching 1.97 million reads. It was amazing to interview her and this is what she had to say!

When did you start writing on Wattpad?

I started writing on Wattpad a little over two years ago.

Where does your inspiration come from?

My inspiration comes from EVERYWHERE! History, politics, culture, nature, movies, art. There are interesting things happening around us all the time, I think that we just have to pay attention.

How did it feel to hit 1 million reads for the first time?

Oh man, hitting one million reads was weirdly nerve- wracking. It felt great to see that number roll over, but then I immediately became nervous about too many people seeing some silly stories that I put together.

What's the best part about writing on Wattpad?

Wattpad's incredible community is easily the best part about writing over here. Everyone has been so helpful, positive and supportive, it's kind of amazing seeing how people can rally around a story. I don't think that I would have finished any of my books if it wasn't for Wattpad 😀

Which is your favourite genre to write in- action or science fiction?

Action is easily my most favourite thing to write. I could write fast paced chase and fight scenes for days and I actually find it sometimes frustrating to write the (necessary) bits that bridge the action sequences. As a longtime fan of SciFi, I am currently trying my hand at a space- age novel. It's challenging at times but I love having an endless well of fictional technology at my disposal!

Are you planning any books for the future?

I am focused on my SciFi novel, 'Star Hunter' at the moment, but I have already mentally written the last book in my action- adventure 'Runner Series', which I am so excited to share in the future.

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

The advice I would give to a new writer (or any aspiring writer, really) is to write the story that you want to read! Write for yourself and not for the approval of other people- you're never going to satisfy everyone. Don't take yourself too seriously and don't be afraid to change the direction of your story based on what your characters are demanding. Your story is alive, let it breathe!
