"Retrieve them," I ordered as I tipped my Kage hat to block out the sun from my eyes.

"Will do... KUKUKU."

HAKU

I followed a huge a burst of chakra with Mayuki-chan in my arms. I swear by all costs, I would protect her and help her change the future... even though it was going to semi-work out in the end.

However, we didn't get the chance to change the future like we hoped. We were ambushed.

"Haku, watch out!" shouted Mayuki-chan.

A loud bang rocked the forest, and Mayuki-chan and I were sent flying into a tree. Thinking quickly, I spun around and used my feet to bounce off the rough bark of the tree.

"Hand over the girl, kukuku," said a voice. "Orochimaru-sama has a special place for her."

My teeth clenched together. "No one is taking her," I said in a deadly tone.

"Ha! KUKUKU! You are no match for me!" said the voice again. The trees rustled and a rather peculiar man jumped out. He had spiky, orange hair, dark, musty, green eyes with heavy eyeliner circling them, blue squiggly lines that ran down his cheeks, resembling tears, and he was wearing an all in one suit.

"Try me," I challenged. I quickly made a few hand signs, and a clone of me appeared. I handed Mayuki-chan over to him and said, "Keep her safe."

"Haku," said Mayuki-chan. There was a pause as she looked at me. She looked as if she was contemplating something. "Be safe."

I nodded and smiled at her. "I promise that I will see you later. Now go."

My clone nodded and disappeared.

"Mayuki-chan and I are going to change the future," I said while preparing to fight. "We're going to make it a future without you, Orochimaru or any evil in it."

"Such wishful thinking, KUKUKU," he said with an evil smirk on his face. He then dashed towards me. I took out a few senbons and in the nick of time, I blocked a kunai that was aimed to slashing me. Sparks flew as senbon and kunai hit again. I then did a few one-handed signs. "Ice style, Ice spike jutsu," I whispered. Suddenly, a giant ice spike jutted up from the ground. Quickly, I dropped the senbon and grabbed his hand before he could have escaped. However, he jumped and arched his body, just barely missing the ice spike.

I let him go and jumped away, subsequently throwing a few senbon his way. All of them hit their target and he dropped to the floor.

I landed on my feet and kicked up dirt. "I told you that you weren't taking Mayuki anywhere."

My eyes widened, however, for there was a ticking sound coming from his body. I walked closer to inspect it, that was until I realized what the ticking sound was. Quickly, I created an ice shield and blocked out a huge blast. Nevertheless, I was still thrown back a few feet. I landed on my feet and skidded back some.

"KUKUKU, she will be mine," said a voice. I sounded as if it came from overhead. I looked up to see the ninja coming down with full force at me. I dodged to the side and sent a well-timed kick his way. It hit his jaw, and he was sent flying back up, but as he flew up he did some hand signs and a few things came down.

I narrowed my eyes, and they looked like rocks... and they were ticking.

Suddenly, the exploded and other tiny particles erupted from them. I cursed as I dodged all them. Enough playing!
