Bryn’s POV –
I walk a couple steps away from Jason before he grabs my arm again.
“Hold on, why are you in such a rush to leave?” He said jokingly.
His voice was beginning to aggravate me.
I snatched my arm out of his grip and looked at him, anger was piling up inside.
“Don’t touch me.” I hissed through gritted teeth, shoving him and turning around once again to enter the parking lot where I saw Derek’s range rover waiting for me.
I went around, opening the passenger side of the car and hoping in, closing the door shut as quickly as possible.
“What happened?” Derek said before pulling out of his parking spot.
“Jason wouldn’t stop grabbing me.” I said nonchalantly.
Derek shook his head, “Did you say anything.”
I looked at him with a dumb expression, “What kind of fucking question is that? He touched me. Of course I said something.”
“What did you say?” I heard Blissity from the back seat.
“To not touch me?” I said sarcastically. “What else would you say to someone who put their hands on you? Like really its common sense.”
Derek shrugged in his seat, turning on a corner.
“I’m still going to kill him. And if I can’t kill him I’ll murder someone he deeply adores. Don’t think that this little situation is going to stop me. After today I’m planning a shoot-out. Are you in or are you in?”
The car was quiet, I heard someone shuffle in the back seat, I waited patiently for their responses.
Finally I heard Zoey clear her throat, “I don’t think we have much of a choice.”
Derek shrugged again, making a right on the street we were on. “I guess so.”
“So you’re in? Except you Blissity, when we leave for the shoot-out you’re staying home. I don’t want something happening to you.” I turn around facing everyone.
Blissity rolled her eyes, “You’re too over protective of me. It’s unfair really.”
“I don’t care. I’m older, so I say what goes. You’re staying.” I spoke back to her with authority ringing at the back of my throat.
I turn around facing the front of the car, watching as we passed by neighborhood houses.
“We’re doing it in two days. We’ll discuss everything at home or tomorrow. No ifs, buts, ands, or maybes. We’re doing this. I’m killing Jason McCann and none of you are stopping me.”
Jason’s POV –
I sit in the car waiting for Jazzy to take a seat beside me when Chris opens the passenger side of the door and takes the seat.
“Where’s Jazzy?” I say, my elbow propped outside the window of the car, my hand under my chin.
“She’s leaving with Megan. Now can you tell me what I just saw right now cause from the looks of it, you just got played bro.” Chris was laughing, his fist covering his mouth as he did so.
I faked a smile, “No I didn’t. And honestly I can’t even explain what happened myself she didn’t even let me talk to her. It was weird. But whatever I’ll just forget about it. Still gotta keep my focus on tracking down Bryn.”
