Jason’s POV --
“Damn.” Chris exhales as everyone takes their time settling into their seats. “The last time we had full house like this was what? Two years ago?”
I shrug, stretching my arm out and placing it around Bryn’s shoulder. She smiles at me briefly then gives her attention back to Blissity who was busy messing with Shadow’s paws. She was trying to put on dog shoes she bought recently over the week but Shadow didn’t seem to like the idea of wearing anything over her feet.
For the first time, I was sitting in a room with not just one gang, whether it were mine or Bryn’s, but both. I could feel the tension between both Bryn and Aria. I guess they’ve been distancing themselves from each other, especially with how far apart they're seated from one another. I look to my right and watch as Damien and Derek go at it in a game of arm wrestling. Everyone was finally getting along and the possibility of making this all one huge gang was striking my mind like lightning.
But the truth of the matter is, the only reason we’re all together is because this is the final task. After this, there will be no more gang. Well for Bryn and I, that is. It’s a damn shame that we’re all coming together at the last minute because as I think over the idea of a mafia I can’t help but shake how invincible we’d be.
Maybe in the future it’ll happen, who knows? I don’t even know if I’ll survive tonight.
“Alright.” I say, slightly gripping Bryn’s shoulder.
One word was enough to call everyone’s attention and even cause Damien to lose his focus and allow Derek to win the game. Groaning to himself, Damien rubs his wrist and looks at me. Once everyone was silent, I lick my lips and clear my throat.
“So, tonight Bryn kills Victoria. We discussed everything but I’ll go over it again so you guys understand, we need your help. That’s why I had us all meet up.” I say, looking over everyone. “At around nine, I’ll leave for Victoria’s house. She knows I’m coming, she thinks it’s a ‘special date’ or something.”
“I’ll be with her for about an hour. Just to make the date seem real, she doesn’t want to leave the house because she’s sick so Bryn has to get in somehow.” I continue saying, glancing at her so she got the message to continue this discussion.
“Someone has to drive me because once I’m there the car I was in has to disappear since I’ll be leaving right away with Jason after she’s dead.” She says, eyes staring at everyone. “But not only that, I know there’s a chance Ariel will be there so in case she cuts in my time of killing Victoria I need someone else to tag along with me.”
“I’ll go!” Blissity squeals, without hesitation, and jumps up from her seat.
Almost dropping Shadow, Bryn snatches the dog out of her hands and places her on my lap. I look at her distastefully but she merely smiles. Blissity smacks her hands together and pokes out her bottom lip, all while Bryn shakes her head with authority.
“Sit your ass down Blissity. You aren’t coming, that’s out of the question.” She says in a stern voice, “I don’t want you near Victoria or Ariel. You’ll stay home and have Drew come over for some company.”
Sucking her teeth, Blissity plops back down on the couch and folds her arms together angrily. Ignoring her childish gestures, Bryn grabs Shadow from my lap and holds her close.
“I’ll go with you.” Aria says with a smile that anyone could classify as fake.
“No, I’ll go.” Tattiana cuts in, side glancing at Aria with a look of disgust. “Blissity said she wanted to get to know you better anyway, there’s your opportunity.”
