Bryn’s POV –
I walk around the car, stopping at center of the hood. I sigh once, realizing the neighbors were watching my every move. I turn and notice Jason had stopped walking back to his house. His back facing me, he straightened his back, looking up.
Jason slowly turned around, not looking at me. His shoulders dropped, as if he were surrendering. I stared at him for a moment, taking in his features. How does he manage to look so flawless all the time? I could feel the tension between us. I could practically feel it.
Maybe my only answer to keep Blissity safe is to keep seeing him. I mean...I shouldn’t be seeing him in the first place but when I’m with him he isn’t worrying about me....Bryn. He’s not worried about anything, just being with me. If I dig deeper, I can take Bryn out his mind, maybe...just maybe.
Jason looks at me and I look away, feeling my intestines forming knots. I suck up the anger I was feeling and meet Jason’s eyes. He was still just as angry as he was a couple minutes ago.
I begin walking towards him; he crosses his arms in front of his chest, watching my every step. I step in front of him, looking him in the eyes.
“I’m not here to argue with you.” I flat out say.
“I’m not here to constantly be lied too.” He replies.
I heard people creeping around the corners of their houses to get a view at us. I look away from Jason at the ground; I bite over my bottom lip.
“I’m not lying to you.” I breathe, looking up at him.
Jason’s POV –
Jane looked gorgeous today. I hadn’t noticed but now, being face-to-face with her, staring at her beautiful features.
I should be angry at this girl, I should be furious. But it’s as if all the anger faded away, I was calm again.
Jane was staring at me, waiting for a reply, but the thing was....I didn’t know what to say. I felt like an asshole, yelling at her. She was right; I had no reason to be upset. Yeah she lied to me, but she’s here now.
So instead of speaking, I bend my head down, hands grasping her waist to pull her in. Jane was on the tips of her toes; it felt good to be taller than her again. I kissed her, moving my hands up to the small of her back, holding her close. She kissed back, her hands were on my arms, and she gripped my muscles.
I pulled away, sighing against her lips. Jane’s eyes fluttered open, slowly looking into mine.
Jane took a step back, hiding her face behind her hair. It was fun seeing her get ever so nervous when she was around me.
“...When you came to my house, what happened?” She asked, tucking her hair behind her ear.
I turned around, walking up the pathway to my house. Jane followed from behind, I could hear the pitter patter of her feet against the concrete. I open the front door, stepping inside; Jane followed me, shutting the door behind her.
“Some chick opened the door, I’m guessing Zoey. I don’t remember.” I lie, I knew it wasn’t Zoey, but I had to make her believe I had no idea who the girl at the door was, at the same time making it seem like I wasn’t suspecting it was Bryn either.
“Oh, I was out with Derek...I’m sure it was Zoey.” She says, following me into the living room.
No one was home at the moment; I liked the thought of being alone with Jane.
But for once let me take Chris’ advice and try to get to know this girl without trying to rip her clothes off...
I slump down on the couch, bringing my hands behind my head, looking at Jane who was just walking into the living room. She looked around, noticing no one was home; she played with the fabric on her leather jacket, before taking a seat next to me.
