Jason’s POV –
Jane runs her hands through my hair as I kiss her. I hold her waist, tilting my head to the left a little. The wind whips passed us and Jane’s hand moves down from my hair and onto my shoulder.
I honestly have never been here before and that made this moment all the more special. This feeling I had for Jane was stronger than the feelings I’ve ever had for Veronica...for anyone. Both Jane and I’s emotions were being poured out into this one amazing kiss.
Finally, we pull away and stare at each other. Jane seemed to be at a loss for words and I was hoping she’d find the courage to tell me whatever it was she had to say.
Jane touches my face, “I’m so happy I met you.”
I kiss her, “I’m happy I met you too, even if you acted rude as fuck when we first met.”
She smiles at me, “You know why I was that way.”
I nod, “Yea, I’m happy I changed that about you.”
Jane slowly starts to sit up and I decide to rest my head on her lap. Jane put her hand on my head and plays with my hair. I turn my head, looking up at her and she smiles down at me. Never thought I’d find a girl as beautiful as her.
“Why can’t we stay here forever?” Jane says, suddenly frowning as she touches my hair.
She narrows her eyes, turning her head to look at the field. Jane places one of her hands on my chest, the other still in my hair. I hold her hand on my chest and she looks up at the sky, sad.
I sit up, placing my arm on the other side of her legs so I was leaning in front of her. She doesn’t look at me but I stare at her for a long time.
“Baby,” I say to her.
She sighs, looking at me.
“I don’t want to ruin our time here so let’s ignore what I just said.” Jane shakes her head slowly.
I stare at her, I couldn’t ignore it. How can I when her question was actually one that even I felt like needed to be answered. Jane smiles at me and gives me a quick kiss before wrapping her arms around my neck. I grab onto her waist and she holds me tightly, forcing me to lean back.
I fall back and she comes down with me, suddenly lying on top of me. I feel a shift in our body weight and I realize we were about to roll down the hill we were on. Jane rolls over pulling me with her and she starts laughing as we roll down the hill.
I laugh too until we reach the bottom and scare a bunch of lightening bugs. Jane was on top of me and she looks around, watching the lights turn on and offwith the bug’s command. I stare at her, watching as she looks around in amazement. The night sky blended perfectly with the gold lights from the bugs.
A bug flies in front of her face and she watches it, her eyes beaming as the lights turned on and off. She stares at the bug until it was in front of her face and above mine. She brings her hands up and captures it. She sits up and so do I, she smiles holding her hands together. I smile at her; her cuteness would also be the death of me.
Slowly she opens her hands and we both look to see the bug crawling on her palm, its light turning on and off. Jane looks at me, smiling like a little kid in acandy store.
“Tucker number two.” I smile at her.
She laughs, letting the bug fly away. She leans back; using her hands as support on the ground. She looks up.
“Doesn’t the moon seem bigger?” She says, leaning on one side as she looks up.
I look up at the moon. It did look a little bigger than usual. I shrug, looking back at Jane.
