Bryn’s POV –
“When did she leave?” I ask Derek after basically searching the entire house for Blissity.
I did give her permission to go out with Drew but I didn’t think she’d leave right after. She didn’t even appear to look as if she were dressed up, I thought she’d at least wait until Jason left to come back into my room and begin picking out an outfit. Maybe she just planned ahead or maybe she didn’t want to bother changing and she was just in a rush to finally leave this house and make friends of her own.
If I were her I’d have done the same so I won’t complain about it or dwell on the subject too much. I just hope everything is perfectly fine on her end, she’s still my responsibility and if something happens to her I’ll go insane.
“I never saw her leave; I was in the kitchen with Zoey and Tattiana. We have to have a talk by the way.” Derek says, steering the conversation off into a new direction.
I step further into the living room and place my hand on top of the arm chair to my left. I could hear Zoey talking to Aria and Tattiana in the dining room but I wasn’t paying close attention to what it was exactly they were talking about.
Jason left not too long ago, about five minutes ago at the most. I offered to drive him home but he denied and said he needed the walk.
‘Just one of those days. I’ll call you later. Promise. Try not to miss me too much.’
I sigh; I hope he gets home alright. Well, of course he will. Nobody is stupid enough to pick a fight with him but there are some knuckle heads out there that’ll bicker with anything and anyone. Jason would be fine, he can handle himself perfectly. Maybe I just wanted to drive him home to get a little extra time with him. That’s most likely it.
I’ve been thinking too much lately, I need to tone it down a bit. I keep building my own anxiety.
“So besides the fact that you and Jason are back to normal, we have to talk business. By business, I mean Julian.”
“What about him?” I question, taking a step in front of the arm chair and sitting on it.
“When he finds out that everything is peachy between you and Jason, he’s not going to be happy Bryn. I think it’s time you put an end to him.”
Derek folds his hands in front of him, leaning forward towards the coffee table. I nod my head, taking in his claim as a strong consideration but the act of doing so isn’t so strong. I could have killed Julian a long time ago but I never thought about it, killing him never really crossed my mind. I had so much going on with Jason that I lost sight of something that can cause literal damage on my side.
“How do I go about this?”
“Two alternatives.” Derek raises his two fingers. “One: You can easily kill him at any given time before he finds out about you and Jason. He’s normally home most of the time, counting his money. Or he’s dealing with the police and the Reapers. Two: Wait until he finds out and wait for the fireworks to start.”
“I like choice two, it seems more fun.” I laugh, “How fast do you think he’ll find out about Jason and I? We’re not together...completely. It’s hard to explain, but we’re not taking our break anymore.”
“I’m going to still consider you guys a couple because I can’t see it any other way.” He retorts bleakly.
“I know, I know. Everything is just confusing between us; we’re both still unsure about everything...Anyway, let’s not allow the topic to fall onto the discussion of Jason. Back to Julian, how fast do you think he’ll-”
