Jason’s POV –
I move my hand slowly, feeling Jane’s hair. I slowly open my eyes, the house bright from the sun illuminating it. I remove my hand from Jane’s hair and rub my eyes, blinking away the sleep and licking my lips. I look down and see Jane fast asleep, her face buried into my neck, I could see her shoulders rising and falling slowly. I take her hair moving it away from her face and notice she wasn’t wearing a shirt anymore. Just a bra.
My eyebrows pull together and I look around the living room. I skim over the floor and find her blue top folded on top of her shoes.
Jane turns her head, facing away from me. She sighs, still asleep. We were no longer holding hands; I must have let it go in my sleep. I don’t know how but she was able to wrap her arm around my neck, her other hand in my hair.
I hold her back, sitting up slowly. She turns her head, holding onto me. I bite my lip not wanting her to wake up. But that didn’t work out to well. She lets go of my neck, her hands on my chest now. She was trying to push me back down.
When she realizes I wasn’t going to do as she wanted she rubs her eyes, blinking a couple times. She looks around then looks at me, still sleepy. I was holding her back tightly as we stare at each other for a moment.
She brings her hands together in front of her chest and nestles herself against me. She sighs again, not wanting to wake up. I rub her back and lie back down on the couch. She lifts her head up and looks at me.
She sits up, stretching her arms out and yawning. Jane looks around the room before looking at me. I quickly look up at her face before she notices I was staring at her bra.
“I got hot in the middle of the night so I took my shirt off.” She says, using her hair to cover her chest by bringing it over her shoulders.
“It’s perfectly fine with me. I like what I’m seeing.” I nod, sitting up until our faces were inches apart.
“Sucks that this is all you’ll get to see.” She teases, backing away from me.
“What did I say about tempting me?” I raise an eyebrow at her.
She smiles cutely at me, shrugging her shoulders. I go to kiss her but she turns and grabs her shirt off her of her shoes, unfolding it and putting it on. I get aglance at her stomach and see the scar Garret left her. I frown knowing it must still cause her some pain. She looks at my side and sulks, touching over the bandage.
“You have to change it.” She says, turning me to the side to get a better view.
“Do I?” I say, I had forgotten all about it.
She nods, laughing at my obliviousness. She looks at me and leans forward kissing my cheek before pushing the blankets off of her and standing up. I take the blanket too lazy to fold it up so I roll it into a ball and throw it on top of the couch. I stand up, taking Jane’s hand and leading her out of the living room and up the stairs.
“Where are we going?” She asks softly, yawning at the end of her sentence.
“To brush our teeth? I don’t kiss girls with morning breath.” I joke as we reach the second floor.
“Well who just tried to kiss me not to long ago? Hmm?” Jane retorts jokingly as we enter the bathroom.
I open the cabinets on top of the sink and grab a tooth brush that was still sealed in its box. She takes it and rips it open, wasting no time to grab the toothpaste, squeeze it onto the tooth brush, run it under the water, and begin brushing her teeth.
I start brushing my teeth after her. It was pretty quiet. The only noises were the running sink water and us scrubbing our teeth, every now and then spitting the tooth paste out and rinsing out mouths until we were finished.
