Bryn’s POV –
The next morning everyone around the house seemed to be busy for once. Tattiana was in my room discussing Chris and how she never knew he’s liked her longer than she has. In all honesty, I figured their relationship would be based on just sex but that’s clearly not the case with what I’m hearing now.
I was looking at my phone, checking my notes app. I always have a list of things for me to do somewhere in here. I skim through the notes but everything in here is things I would have done prior to my encounter with Jason at the viewing. I never updated this and now I’m just staring at a blank list of shit that was supposed to be taken care of a while ago.
I lock my phone and run my hands through my hair. Today I’ll just go pay Jeff a little visit. It’s almost a week now with Jason, two weeks left and I know something is coming for us. I have my legs crossed on top of the bed, my elbows supported on my knees, hands in my hair.
“I don’t know if I told you this but Chris was suspecting that you could possibly be Bryn. I should have told you this before but you were too busy with Jason.” Tattiana says, laying on the bed and staring at her nails.
“What do you mean?” I say, folding my hands together and situating them under my chin.
“He had an assumption that you weren’t everything you claimed to be. He said he had that feeling or whatever, like you were actually evil or something. Sorry to say this, but he was on point cause Bryn is evil.” Tattiana laughs nervously, “But I steered him off course. I told him you were nothing to worry about and he took the bait so you’re out from under his radar.”
“Good job.” I say staring at the patterns on the blankets.
There was so much commotion going on downstairs. Everyone was getting ready to go out to the movies. Tattiana of course was the first to be ready considering she was the first to wake up. I was already ready to go out and run my ‘errands.’
I was wearing baggy sweat pants that were a size too big for me. I kept these for times like these, the baggier the clothes the less easy it is for people to recognize me by my body type. I had my hair up in a bun which would be hidden once I through on a baseball cap while I was out. I wore a loose tank top that wasn’t too big but at the same time you could tell it wasn’t my size.
Blissity walks into my room wearing white shorts and a black loose top over it. She wore a red laced bra inside it; the shirt was open on the sides so you could clearly make out the design on the bra. Blissity walks over to the dresser and plugs in the straightener, touching the iron every couple of seconds to check the temperature.
“Bring a sweater; it gets cold in the movie theater.” I say to her as she begins to part her hair with her comb.
“I know Bryn.” Blissity replies nonchalantly.
“I’m not hanging with Jason today so don’t think that I am.” I say to her.
I could tell that somewhere in the back of her mind she had a feeling that I was really just going off to be with Jason. But clearly that was not the case. Blissity should know that I wouldn’t wear something like this if I were going to see Jason. I look like a homeless girl that’s looking for the next best way to get laid.
“That’s not what I’m thinking at all.” Blissity laughs, grabbing the flat iron and beginning to straighten her hair.
“What are Derek and Zoey doing?” Tattiana asked, watching Blissity.
“They’re getting dressed. You know, I think Derek likes Zoey but I don’t know.” Blissity whispers, turning to look at us before getting back to her hair.
