Daya
"Uh... I just ate about 15 minutes ago, so..."
"But I haven't, so what do you guys got?" Jake's simple question sounded like a death wish to whoever answered.
"Follow us, and we'll show you," Natasha replied quite smug -like.
Me, Jake, Natasha, Clint, Thor, Bruce, and Steeeeeeeeve... I don't think I can say his name mentally, ugh....
Anyway, we all began to follow after Natasha down the hallway with sealed lips, that is until Bruce broke said seal...
"Uh... So... So we just trust them now, too you know... roam around the tower?" He stuttered.
"Yup," Clint answered without turning around.
"And they don't need supervision?" Steve added, and just mentally saying his name sends shockwaves through my skull.
He was right behind me, so I didn't have the slightest clue that he was referring to me. *Input Sarcasm here*.
"Well... No, they don't," Clint answered again, then looked back to me and said, "I trust them."
I smiled sincerely at his remark, then mouthed "thank you" real cheeky like. He replied the same way with a "your welcome." It was at that same moment that we all managed to squeeze into an elevator.
"Well then! If Barton trusts them, then I shall too!" Thor boomed while throwing one of his massive arms on my shoulder and side hugged me. More like crushed me.
"Well... Thanks, really appreciate it," I wheezed out, "do you mind not squashing me like that again, I'm not made of metal." I said while rolling my shoulders back into their sockets.
The elevator was already moving by now, and Clint hit the top floor so, this was going to take a while...
"My apologies, Lady Daya," he said kindly.
"Um... Daya is just fine if that's okay..." I replied respectfully in a sweet but squeaky voice.
"Very well, Daya" he retorted with the same tone of respect.
I nodded acceptingly at him and focused on the elevator doors in front of me.
Now, I've already had my fair share of awkward, but now we all do. I was sandwiched between Clint, Jake, and Thor while Bruce, Natasha, and Steve were behind us. Not one soul within this metal box said a word, and I swear the air was getting thicker.
"Hey Clint, how long is this going to-" Before I could even finish my sentence, the elevator opened up. And the view in front of me was excellent. "Take... Aww Sweet!" I shouted in joy and rushed out towards the nearest weird thing my eyes landed on.
We were on the top floor, and the vast space in front of me looked all high-tech and shiny. Every surface my eyes landed on was either spotless, made of glass, made of metal, or just something that's meant to be plain colored but is somehow shiny.
When I rushed out, Clint and Jake didn't really mind, but everyone else was still getting used to me and my childish antics, and the fact that I'm a "criminal" and I now have the freedom to wander around... freely.
"Don't touch that!" A voice all too familiar yelled.
I was holding a strange looking piece of metal tube thingy, and I froze in the craziest position. "Uh... Is it radioactive or something." I sassed.
"Uh, no. I just don't want you touching it" Douche-bag retorted sarcastically. "And why did you freeze in that position? I said Don't touch that, I didn't say Freeze" he sassed some more.
