Daya

Like I said, the dude is brooding in the dark with liquor again. I am 100% sure that Kane could win all the best acting performance awards for being so dramatic.

"Huh." He huffed with defeat. "The Avengers. So nice to finally meet you."

"I'm afraid that we can't say the same." Steve retorted with authority.

I watched from behind Clint's shoulder what was going on as the little greeting continued, since they wanted me to stay back while they handled him.

"I guess you are here to arrest me?" He asked smugly.

"For operating outside the law, running an illegal operation of trade, hiring minors to do your dirty work, and associating with an international terrorist group, yes, I would believe that calls for an arrest." Steve listed out as he approached him with a pair of cuffs.

Hmm... Where did he get those cuffs from?

I watched from my little spot as Steve cuffed him and held him in place beside the desk. Kane still seemed smug as he did so, and now I'm beginning to worry what he's got cooking up in his crazy dramatic mind.

"Got 'em." Clint whispered into his comm.

When he did that, Kane looked over in our direction and noticed me hiding behind Clint in the hallway.

"Ah... There you are." He cooed creepily with a grin.

When he did that, it sent this tingle of weirdness down my spine. And a kind of nostalgia feeling as well.

"Here I am." I retorted in a somewhat plain but sarcastic way.

Steve gave me this look of "why are you talking to him" so I shut my trap and played serious. Like the rest of them...

"I didn't know you were a lot of trouble." He continued with that smug sense of pride.

"I didn't know either. Oh wait, I did." I deadpanned with a smirk.

Steve gave me that same look again after I said that, then started forcing Kane out the door towards us. Jake didn't let him out of his sight and followed behind them. Clint and Natasha started to move out of the way while they did, so I did the same.

"Trouble is bad for business. Perhaps your new found friends already know that." He stated as he stepped past me and walked out the door with Steve pushing him along.

I glared at him as he made his way out, and suppressed a growl of anger that was gnawing to break loose.

I don't think it worked since Clint placed a hand on my shoulder in a reassuring calm manner.

"You good?" He half whispered.

"Right as rain." I half smiled back.

"Come on." He said before tugging me along to follow behind Steve and them.

We started our ascend down the stairs, and I couldn't help but glare bullets into Kane's skull. He seemed too smug about the whole ordeal, and I know how smug he can get. But this smug, this was just WAY past his normal.

"Trouble comes around, sooner or later." Kane stated from down the stairs as Steve pushed him along.

"Quiet." Steve ordered sternly.

"Guys, we got incoming approaching." Tony suddenly announced over the comm.

The second he did, I could feel movement on the ground in the distance. I turned and looked at Clint warily and he did the same.
