Daya

I woke with a jolt and instantly regretted the action as sparks of pain erupted all over my body.
Pain.
That was the last thing I remembered before blacking out and succumbing to the darkness. . . But that wasn't the only thing. . .
I groggily looked around the room for my family but came up empty. My heartbeat jumped and I heard it on the monitor to my right, the sound catching my attention to look in the direction. There I found the machine and behind it a huge floor to ceiling window showing me verdant green grass and trees.
My brows furrowed at the large window for a wall and the change in scenery. I subconsciously went to move my arm, but I found the process painful.
Landing my eyes on my left arm, it was slung in a brand new cast. I sighed at the realization then took notice of the water jug sitting on the table beside my head. My throat felt dry but I was in no position to move.
Then I realized the soft voices coming from the fancy TV hanging from the ceiling in front of my bed. I say "fancy" because it wasn't so much as a TV, yet it was one of those high tech glass monitors I only saw in Tony's labs.
"Today we are still getting word from witnesses that were in Sokovia during the terrifying incident. . ."
It announced as I blankly stared to comprehend the replaying footage of the city blowing out of the sky. It showed the city from a ground view and you could clearly see the heated rock because of the re-entry. Thor's lightning covered the sky and suddenly the city blew up with green and blue light.
I did that.
Somehow, I did that with Thor and Tony.
My mind lapsed as I felt the full realization of the incident hit me like a train. I blinked away the numbing feeling in the back of my skull, the welling emotions in my eyes, and the tightness in my throat.
After everything that's happened to me, in some impossible way, I managed to push through months of torture, a week of chasing robots and androids, to finally demolishing a whole city alongside my super powered family.
F-ck.
After I gathered my thoughts to that conclusion, I glanced at everything since I couldn't move my head.
I realized the nasal plastic tube delivering oxygen to my nose and trailing to the side of the bed into the machine. Then I found an IV in my right arm giving me some clear liquid - most likely for hydration - and another heart monitor with a pad to read my pulse. It wasn't the only one as I felt more padded wires stuck to my chest, as well as a thing clipped to my finger.
