Third Person POV
~Day 3~
Daya hung out with the team as much as possible, her fear of losing them or being alone again getting the best of her. Everyone other than Bruce and Tony were chilling and watching movies with her, Daya currently educating them all on her favorite movie after watching some of the Disney classics. Tony and Bruce were still shacked up in their labs, claiming that they were working on something extremely important whenever the team questioned. Daya wandered in on them a few times, curiosity getting the best of her, and she was fascinated with all the holograms and screens that were displayed in the air in front of them while they were working. And although she had no idea what it looked like, she caught a peek at Loki's scepter, the glowing gem in its center sent a chill up her spine.
As she mouthed every line and quote from the movie, even doing some of the actions, everyone watched her transfixed, mesmerized, and fascinated gaze which was solely locked onto the screen. They were still very much worried about her well being, just being in her presence made them fill with regret and guilt, but like Natasha had told them when she wasn't around, she didn't want them beating themselves up over her. And even though Steve was in her close vicinity, she hadn't told him about her discovery yet, but she slowly began coming up with ways to tell him she was Buck's biological daughter. She figured if she were to tell him it would have to be in private, that way the news could be broken to him easier and that she could try to make the circle as small as possible. She hadn't told Jake as well, but he was easier to talk to, so she planned on telling him after their day of catching up.
But she had forgotten all about the party.
"So Daya, you can move rocks with your mind?"
"Sam..." Steve exhaled exasperatedly.
Since he hadn't seen or experienced her powers in person yet, he was pretty anxious to see her do something with a rock. From the TV's perspective, Sam was to the left on a sofa chair, following to the right with Clint on the floor with a pillow, Thor laying on his stomach with his head propped on his hands watching the movie, behind them on the couch was Natasha, Daya, Jake, and then Steve on the next sofa chair. Daya had looked over from her spot on the couch to send a 'its okay' look to Steve before turning to Sam with a small smile.
"Yes."
Sam blew a short whistle and grinned with a tiny bit of curiosity and mischief behind his eyes. "So... can you move something...?"
Steve shot him another look but he ignored his warnings.
"Sure." Daya surprised Steve, and Sam shot him a evil smirk.
Jake was worried though, and so were the others, so he asked her the question everyone was holding their breath for. "Are you sure... you can handle that at the moment?"
Daya turned and gave him and the others reassuring looks as she stood up and stretched her arms out in front of herself. Slowly lifting her left hand, she willed the dirt particles that were stuck under everyone's shoes to her, the sudden and quick action causing each of their feet to jerk toward her until she hovered all the tiny bits above her palm. As she- and the others- stared at the separate pieces of dirt and rock spiraling in an intricate way above her palm, she slowly tensed her fingers to force them to clump together. The bigger pieces flew to a nonexistent center above her palm while the dirt particles stuck and pieced together until they formed a rough ball.
Sam was staring with bright eyes and mouthing a 'wow' at the clump of earth the size of a golf ball she had collected just from their shoes. Everyone smiled and began to clap encouragingly at Daya's little display- including Thor when he felt his feet jerk the hardest behind himself towards her- and laughed when she tossed the rough sphere of earth to a stunned Sam.
