"This isn't me," I finally muttered beside Steve as we both backed away from the edge of the crumbling bridge.

I kept my eyes focused on the falling debris heading back down to the rest of the earth as this flying rock ascended higher. I couldn't bring myself to look at Steve as I felt his gaze locked on my worried resolve.

My mind raced with the possibility that I had the ability to do something like this, but I would never do anything remotely similar. Another thing that seemed to make me tremble on the inside was the climbing altitude we were gaining. . .

I think I'm afraid of heights.

"I know this isn't you," he kindly stated, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I slowly turned my head to face him, my eyes fearfully glued to the shrinking city below before snapping to his sympathetic blue eyes. I didn't realize my greedy breaths until he rested a calming hand on my shoulder, my breaths evening out once more under his fatherly worried gaze. He shone me a half hearted smile and I matched it with a lopsided-worried tilt of the lip.

"We're gonna be okay. We'll figure something out, like we always do," he said before letting go of my shoulder. "Come on, we got-"

Suddenly, a robot collided then proceeded to fly Steve halfway through the air. I watched speechlessly with wide eyes as he smashed into the hood of a car, but thankfully because of the frisbee on his back, it took most of the impact.

"Cap, you got incoming," Tony sounded over comms a minute too late.

"Incoming already came in. . ." Steve groaned back as I ran to him.

As I skillfully jumped over car hoods and landed gracefully on the ground back into a run, a loud shattering came from the building behind Steve. The windows were blown out at the hands of one of Ultrons robot clones. I briefly saw the exhausted reaction from Steve and he practically expressed my inner mood.

"We're going to be okay?" I questioned sarcastically when I came to a stop in front of the car as he lazily tried to maneuver off.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, " he sighed.

I rolled my eyes playfully before clamping my hand with his and hoisting him up. I easily got him back to his feet with my super strength and scoped out the chaos around us. More robots nose dived here and there while others flew like locusts and blasted random areas.

I sighed heavily, and Steve did the same. He pressed his hand to the comm in his ear and I knew he might be making one of his famous speeches.

"Stark you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. If you get hurt, hurt em back. If you get killed. . . walk it off," he finished his inspirational speech over comms.
