Third Person POV

About another two months passed since Strucker threw the accusations at Daya. The missions continued, as well as the near misses from the team, and every time that would happen Strucker would take it out on her. Meal times were cut, the unnecessary extra beatings carried on, and her rage- and power- grew more and more. That collar was nearing its breaking point and Strucker was too busy and distracted with his precious experiments, weapons, and tight schedule to bother checking its longevity. Soon it was going to be a living hell for him, but it was going to be an answer to all of Daya's prayers.

Because of the never ending days of captivity, Daya grew ever more tired waiting on the team. Every time the soldiers would come to the cell, or Strucker himself, she thought- every time- that they were coming. That they were fast approaching with the Quinjet. That they were halfway and she could meet them in between. But every time was a let down. She would sit in the metal box, chained and blindfolded, and contemplate whether or not the team would ever come. At one point she lost all hope. But in that split second she held it tighter. Hope was all she had now. And it was dwindling with every passing day.

But timing could not be any better.

Since Strucker insisted on keeping her clean- something along the lines of disgusting body odor, dirt build up, and "common courtesy"- it was time for her bath. And quite frankly, Strucker had some bit of manners when it came to this part since he had a female doctor look after her. Granted she didn't care about the scars or bruising all over Dayas body that Strucker ordered his men to do, but it was sensible the least that she wasn't treated like an animal.

The soldiers escorted Daya down the hall. Because they thought she was too weak to try anything- and Wanda and Pietro were on guard duty- she was overlooked as a threat and they had the minimum of cares in the world. Meaning her chances of escape were pretty high.

Compared to the muscular, healthy, and trained soldiers on each side of her, she had the appearance and slenderness of a twig. Because of this, even the soldiers had enough sense to treat her like a porcelain doll, holding or carrying her by each arm carefully without clutching her frail arms in a vice grip. The slight outlines of bones were visible in some areas but she still had muscle mass as well. Her hair clung and clumped at her roots because of the dried blood from previous beatings, and the bruising all along her legs were a sign of her other attempts without the help of her arms or hands.

Her extremely malnourished body made her weak visually, but the pent up energy combined with her super soldier serum and gamma radiated cells was a concoction designed to wreak havoc. The soldiers forgot to check her collar and it was about to be a mistake they were going to regret. As they passed her off to the doctor, she suddenly felt a pang in her neck which then caused her to stumble forward into the doctors arms.

"What's the matter?" One soldier pressed as he quickly grabbed for his gun.

"I-I don't know. . ." The lady replied, uncertainty and fear lacing her tone as she held Daya up.

Daya grimaced and hissed as more pent up power was being released and the collar counterattacked its effects with the jolts. The doctor held her up as she had her head bowed in pain and the soldiers were getting on edge. One getting too antsy that he radioed in for backup. . .

"I think the prisoner is trying to pull a fast one on us again. We need backup. Now." He ordered into the walkie.

"Is the collar still operational?" Another responded a second later.

As the soldier stepped forward to check, Daya growled from the pain her body was involuntarily causing her and he got shook up, gesturing for the other to check. The next one rolled his eyes and put his gun away before stepping forward to check. His gloved hand reached for her hair and brought it back like a curtain while studying the collar.
