Third Person POV

"Daya?!" Jake shouted over the racket and chaos behind him.

The teen had split from the group without informing anyone, took out his comms, and stumbled upon what looked to be the entrance Sam radioed in earlier. It was a bunker of some sort with a huge metal hatch. Behind him, however, were the Avengers taking down the small army of soldiers that seemed to have poured out of the shack minutes prior. Tony was right; the base was underground. Soldiers came and met them on the battlefield before they could land- ready to start a war before it could start. Sam and Tony flew ahead in time to pick off some of the defenses before allowing the heavy hitters- Thor and Hulk- to do their thing.

Although the fight seemed to be taken care of, Tony and the gang specifically told Jake to stay put on the jet, and they would call him if needed- or more accurately if they found Daya- but he refused to take anyone else's word to go look for his best friend. Everyone was busy with their own battles, yet he slipped through Hydras defenses pretty easily.

"Daya!" He called again desperately, stumbling and tripping over his adrenaline drained feet towards the hatch.

He rushed through the forest in such a hurry that he didn't feel or notice the bullet wound in his calf. As soon as he collided with the hatch, his hands instantly gripped the iron and began turning...

Daya

I jumped out of the hallway and slammed the door behind me, listening as the disgruntled soldiers thudded against it. My back was pressed flush against it as they did so in an attempt to hold them back, but when I realized what kind of door it was, I stopped my efforts.

There was another hallway. Short. At the end was a doorway. I scanned the pretty big hallway for anything out of the ordinary, but it was empty and void of anything. I wasted no time at all and raced to the end... Then I was met with yet another huge metal hatch door.

It seems this place only has giant, metal hatch doors.

I huffed out a breath before snatching the huge ring of a door knob and began turning it. It seemed to have been in a state of immobility since it screeched a couple of times and felt like it was rusted shut. I persevered nonetheless and once it got to a state to open, I tugged it.

"Daya..." I heard a faint remnant of what sounded like a shout behind the door.

"Hello?!" I shouted back as I continued tugging the fat door to open.

For a fleeting second I felt a cold chill down my spine... Then I felt cool air tickle my bare feet. I figured it was because of the door opening.

"Daya..." I heard the same distant voice shout.

This time it sounded like Jake.

"Jake!?"

No reply.

I shoved the door a little more, enough for me to get out, then wasted no more time and jumped out of the empty, depressing hallway...
