Mama

Amber's  POV

"These have to be solved, Wife." Demin warned me. Nakahalukipkip siyang pinatitigan ako ng masama. Prente siyang nakaupo sa swivel chair niya dito sa kanyang opisina.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Rosco na parehong nakaupo sa kanyang visitors chair. Nanghingi ako ng tulong kay Rosco sa pamamagitan ng tingin. Hindi ko kasi alam kung bakit ako pinapunta dito ni Demin pero alam ko pagdating sa mga ganitong sitwasyon ay problema na naman ang mayroon.

Humugot ng malalim na hininga si Rosco, "Mr. Rios is the problem."

"Mr. Rios? Who is he?" I asked, puzzled.

"He is the major stakeholder in Diadionne's Hospital."

"Ano? May bagong major stakeholder? Does it mean binenta ni Mrs. Montrever ang shares niya?"

"Yes at itong si Mr. Rios ay kay bago-bago sa hospital, grabe nang makialam. At gumawa pa talaga ng proyekto ah! Without Rosco's approval and the board's!" Demin exclaimed.

Naguluhan ako. Mr. Rios is somewhat familiar to my ears because of its last name. Making a project without an approval is unappropriated. Pwedeng kasuhan itong si Mr. Rios kung nagkataong may sumampang isa sa mga board members na tutol sa kanya.

"Anong klaseng proyekto ba ang inilathala ni Mr. Rios?" Tanong ko.

"Free hospitalization for those young patients who have cancers." Si Rosco ang sumagot.

"What?!" Napatayo ako nang nanlalaki ang mga mata. "Free hospitalization for those young patients who have cancers?! Seriously?! May plano ba siyang pabagsakin ang hospital ko?! God! He is too generous, wow!" sarkastiko kong sambit at mariin kong hinila ang dulo ng aking buhok sa frustration.

"Exactly, Amber. Please do make an appointment with Mr. Rios as soon as possible so that you can talk about this stuff. I already confronted him but he insisted that it should be you who'll gonna talk with him. Make this stop, Amber, or else say goodbye to your loving hospital. " Sabi ni Rosco habang umiling iling sa pagkadismaya at hinilot ang sentido.

"I will. Fuck that goddamn fucker!" mahinahon kong saad at sumalampak ng upo.

"Amethyst, your mouth!" pinandilatan ako ni Demin habang nakatiim bagang. Rosco just smirk.

"You know me, Demin. Kapag ako magalit, walang magandang lumalabas sa bibig ko."

"Why so mad, Wife? Hindi ba ito ang gusto mo?"

"What?" my face turned to grim. What is he talking about?

"Kung hindi mo sana pinabayaan ang Diadionne Hospital, hindi mangyayari 'to." He seriously stated. I'm a bit shock at his statement.

"Demin, you're talking out of the topic."

"Out of the topic? Pssh, I am still talking about the topic here. Wife, naging mas abala ka pa kay Neo kaysa sa Hospital. Just because Rosco handled your position doesn't mean you're free to do whatever you want. I mean, sinusuportahan kita sa lahat ng desisyon mo pero 'wag mo namang kalimutan na may responsibilidad ka dito, Wife. Kung babagsak ang Hospital 'natin' paano na ang mga empleyado natin? Our Doctors, nurses and others who were working hard just to benefit their families needs. Intindihin mo rin ang sitwasyon nila hindi 'yong puro ka nalang si Neo, Neo, Neo!" sabay hampas niya ng lamesa na ikinaigtad ko sa gulat. Habang sinasabi niya pa iyon ay may kasamang hand gestures na para bang dinidiin ang bawat salita.

While I'm in a middle of shock and uneasyness, Rosco stood up fixing the buttons of his coat, "Excuse me, I'm out of here. Fix your own problem, couples. Don't mix this up with your personal problems. Business is business." Then he went out of the office.
