"Mitch what did you want to talk about?" I asked as I sat down on the couch.
"Dude what the hell is wrong with you?!" Mitch said hitting me lightly on the shoulder.
"Can you clarify what I did wrong?"
"You asked my sister on a date"
"Still not getting the point"
"Remember our talk last night, I clearly said that I didn't approve of it" Mitch said.
"Mitch don't even worry about it" I said relaxing my feet on the coffee table.
"I have to worry about it!! I'm her brother!" Mitch says.
"Mitch stop being a older brother and start acting like my best friend that's suppose to be helping me" I said annoyed by his attitude.
"Well i'm sorry that I love my sister and would do anything to protect her" Mitch says sitting on the couch.
"Well don't you trust her to make her own decisions?"
"Yeah but Auston you don't know what she's been through" Mitch says.
"Mitch I like your sister very much and to be honest I will do anything for her" I said.
"Can you promise that you would be by her side when i'm not around. Be there when she's feeling bad about herself" Mitch says.
"Promise" I said making Mitch smile.
"Thanks bro" Mitch says giving me a bro hug.
Jamie Marner
"Earth to Jamie" Steph says.
"Huh?" I said.
"Jamie what are you thinking about?" Steph asks.
"I'm worried about what those two are talking about. I know Mitch is going to be all protecting"
"Well isn't that a good thing? He doesn't what you to be in that situation again"
"I guess" I said.
"Hey let's go shopping, that's something that will cheer you up" Steph says grabbing her purse.
"You always know how to cheer me up" I said grabbing my wallet.
My phone starts to ring. I look to see who's calling.
Callie
"Steph you wait outside, I have to take this" I said as she nodded.
"Hello Callie" I said.
"Jamie come over very quickly" Callie said in a feared voice.
"Callie what happened?" I asked.
"Jamie I did something bad" Callie said. She sounds out of breath.
"What?"
"I might have killed my dad" Callie says as I stand there in shock.
"How did this happen?" I asked.
"My dad came over with his gun and he started to abuse my mom and he shot her!" I hear Callie starting to cry.
"So I took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him in the back" she said.
"Callie where are you?"
"I'm in the woods behind my house. I ran here because i'm afraid my that my dad is still alive. I said that I killed him but i'm not sure. When I left he was still breathing" she said.
"Callie i'll be there in 10, stay there" I said as I ended the call.
"Mitch!" I yelled as I ran into the living room where him, Steph and Auston were sitting.
"Yeah?" He asked getting up.
"Can you drive me to Callie's house, Now?!?" I asked.
"Sure" he said getting his car keys.
"Sorry Steph that I have to cancel our plans, my friend needs me right now" I said.
"It's okay" she says back.
I smiled and left the apartment with Mitch.

"CALLIE!!" I yelled into the woods.
"Do you really think that she's still here?? It's getting dark" Mitch says.
"Well where could she be?" I asked as he shrugged his shoulders.
Suddenly we heard gun shots.
"Mitch what was that?" I asked as i stood close to him.
"I don't know" he said looking around.
"It's coming from that way" I pointed.
"We should look there it might be Callie" I said as Mitch nodded.
I held onto his arms as he leads the way.
"Mitch i'm scared" I whispered.
"Shh it's okay i'm here" Mitch comforts me.
We hear another gun shot, Mitch and I both jump up a little.
The sun has already set and it's dark outside.
I grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight.
I pointed it ahead and saw footsteps on the ground.
"Let's follow those footsteps" I said.
We follow the footsteps as it leads to a river.
I see something from a distance, Mitch and I walked closer and noticed what it was.
