The two of you walked up the staircase and Tom stood by his father side. "Father," Tom said softly, his father dismissed him silently. So Tom stayed quiet. The Duke was talking. It was so quiet everyone would be able to hear a pin drop.

"Prince Thomas will now announce whom will be his bride!" You looked at Tom with pleading eyes. He couldn't force you to marry him could he? You must have the right to turn down a prince soon to be king. Right? Tom dropped your hand and stepped forward per his father's request.

You held your hands tightly in front on you. Feeling shaky and sick to your stomach. The twins stood on either side of you, Paddy still asleep. It felt as if it was slow motion as Tom spoke. The crowd cheered and clapped, you just felt dizzy.

You bit the inside of your cheek as the king looked at you. He smiled and nodded. Tom turned back around and you glared at him. "I can't believe you." You said sadly, pushing through the ever growing twins and dashed away. Tom did his best to follow you through the crowd but you were to quick and alot of people kept stopping him to congratulate him.

Your family followed you home. Although you were the first to reach it. The door flung open and you panted. "Mom!" You yelled, tears already spilling. She rushed to where you were and you practically threw yourself in her arms.

She held you tightly until you calmed down enough. "What happened baby girl?" She asked you calmly. Your older sister ran through the door.

"He can't just force you to marry him!"

"What?!" Your mother nearly shouted.

"Mom!" You cried, holding onto her tighter. Wishing you could just be a kid again.

"Thomas chose her to be his bride!" Your sister explained.

You were passing through the village to get to the lake. You just wanted to be alone and think everything through. "Y/N," a deep voice called your name. You shivered, wrapping your arms around yourself. "Please wait." Begrudgingly you stopped, allowing the last person you wanted to see catch up.

"Can you please just leave me alone?"

"No,"

"Why not?! You did it fine for over a decade!" You turned to walk off but he grabbed your arm. You stared at him blankly. "What do you want?"

"I want you to give me a chance to explain everything." You sighed giving in. He followed you in silence until you got to your weeping willow tree by a little stream. You sat down on a blanket, leaning against the base of the tree. He sat down next to you and tried his best to explain everything.

"Can't you just choose another bride?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I can't." You huffed.

"Wait." He looked at you with big soft brown eyes. "How do you even own any normal clothes?" He was wearing normal civilian clothes. He shrugged. Chuckling at your completely off topic question.

"Okay, but is there anything that I can do that'll help us both out?"

"I want us to be friends before we're married."

"Alright."

"Tom?" He smiled, he hasn't been called Tom since his mother died. "Do we at least get to pick the date?" He scratched the back of his neck and wouldn't look at you. "Oh when is it?" You asked dreadfully.

"Next month."

You took a deep breath, feeling anxious as ever. You held onto your dad's arm tightly as he walked you when the long aisle. Everyone was paying attention to you and you hated it. You tried to focus on how dashing Tom looked. But it only made you more nervous.

Your father hugged you tightly before handing you off to Tom. He shook his hand. "I don't care who you are. Don't hurt her." He whispered, Tom swallowed hard and your dad patted him on the back. You didn't pay attention to anything except the vows. Even then those were hard for you to focus on.

"I now present you Prince and Princess Holland!" Everyone cheered and you held his hand tightly. The two of you scurried down the aisle, once the doors separated the two of your from the loud crowd Tom pulled you along into a rarely known hallway.

"Tommy?" You asked softly, he looked to you.

"Yes?" You leaned forward and kissed him. You broke away due to him smiling to much.

"I trust you." He beamed, a tear slipping down his face. That'd meant more to him that nearly anything. The two of you had grown quite close in a month. You weren't professing your undying love for each other yet. But it was definitely a start.

A week later the king had died. Tom had become king and you were now a queen. Tom had hardly any time to grieve before he was overwhelmed by work. He tried his best to carve out time for you each day, although it deemed nearly impossible some days.

You'd been married nearly five months. He walked into the library, finding you sketching away. He laid down on the floor next to you, resting his head on your lap. You ran your fingers through his hair. "Let's go to bed before you fall asleep on the cold floor."

Once he was in bed he was nearly completely asleep in seconds. You kissed his forehead and pulled the covers over his chest. "I love you Tommy." A tired smile graced his lips.

"Really?"

"Yes. Go to sleep." He closed his eyes and held your hand tightly.

Lol IDK how to end it.
