Island Retreat

Short Story #32 - Island Retreat - Leo and Calypso

*After Leo comes back for Calypso. They are married.*

*20 years later*

"Come on, my love." Leo calls.

"Coming, coming." Calypso responds. She slides the beautiful wedding ring onto her finger. It has been 15 years since she had been married to Leo. She could still remember him flying in and crashing into her island a second time.

[START FLASHBACK]

"Hey! I told you I'd be back." Leo stated. Calypso had no words as she launched herseld at him. He had embraced her and nuzzled his face in the crook of her neck.

"I missed you so much." he had whispered.

"I missed you too" Calypso had said as she had pulled Leo's head up and had brought her lips crashing his. Best. Kiss. Ever.

"So... How did you find me again?" Calypso had asked as they walked down the beach, hands clasped together.

"It's a very interesting story. First and foremost, we deafeted Gaea. The Gods were very grateful, for once. They decided to give us each 1 thing we really wanted. I told them that I wanted to

a.) know where you were,

b.) them to grant your freedom, and

c.) give you what ever you wanted." he had finished.

"Really? So, I'm free?" she had asked, not able to belive her ears.

"Yep." Leo had said as he had popped to 'p'.

"Well... What are we waiting for! Let's get off this island." Calypso had all but screamed.

"First..." he had said, "What do you want from the Gods?"

"I would like to become mortal with you and then once we grow super old, (before we die), we get put back on this island as immortals at our current age at this very momment." she had said.

[END FLASHBACK]

Her wish had been granted and here she was. She was smiling goofily at this memory.

"I see you are very happy..." Leo says from the doorway.

"Well, isn't someone dashing tonight." Calypso responds.

"Oh come on. I look this awesome all the time..." he says.

"Yes, yes you do." she agrees.

"Alright, well, let's go. Lila is at the Jackson's house for the night and I have reservations at 6:00." Leo says promplty. He really is an awesome dad. Lila was their 7 year old daughter. She was already claimed by Hephaestus, but she had unusual powers over plants... Who knows. But, kids aside, tonight was their 15th anniversary.

"Let's go." Calypso repeats as she takes Leo's outstretched hand as they walk to the car.
