Short Story #35 - Science - Annabeth and Percy

"I always get better science test scores than you!" Annabeth argues.

"Are you willing to bet on it?" Percy asks.

"Yep." she says popping the 'p'.

"Alright. Whoever gets the better score gets to make the other do something of the winners choice." Percy says.

"Fair enough," Annabeth agrees. "You will bow down to me and call me Queen for a day when I win."

"Okay. When I win, you have to kiss me on the lips in front of the entire class." Percy says smugly. Annabeth has a look of astonishment on her face, "or will you back down, my Queen..."

"Never," she says sternly, "You're on!" They shake hands.

Ms. Falcon, their science teacher, heard the whole thing. She ships them almost as hard as Hazel. She grins, a plan forming in her head, as she walks back to her class to get the tests ready.

Percy and Annabeth walk hand in hand to class together. Both are imagining how it's going to be when they win. As they walk into class, Ms. Falcon pulls Percy aside.

"Okay. So, in order for you to win,I have given you a slightly easier test," She says. Percy looks stunned and slightly creeped out.

"Umm... Thanks?" he says uncertainly.

"No need to thank me. Now, leave!" she says more dramatically than the world needs.

Percy walks back to his seat. He looks at Annabeth who meets his gaze. She mouths, 'What was that about?' He just shrugs in response.

"Alright class. Begin your tests." Ms. Falcon announces.

~ Time Skip To Next Day ~

"We get our test scores back today. Are you ready to be my servant?" Annabeth says smugly.

"Nope." is all Percy says as a huge grin spreads over his face.

"Did you cheat?" Annabeth asks.

"No. I played fair and square Wise Girl." he answers.

They walk into class right as the bell rings. Ms. Falcon immediately passes out the test scores. Percy got 110% and Annabeth got 105%. One thought runs through Percy's head, 'Thank the gods for extra credit.' They compare scores and Annabeth's face falls. He won by one answer.

"No backing out." Percy says, "I'll go explain this to Ms. Falcon." He walks away and 'explains' it to the teacher. He walks back.

"Okay class. We have a special presentation today..." The class groans thinking its gonna be some boring video on space or an old guy who talks really slow. "Don't worry. It's by your very own classmates."

At this the class perks up. Percy grins wider and Annabeth blushes.

"Without further ado, Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson," Ms. Falcon finishes.

They walk up there. Percy explains the entire bet to the class and tells them the result. With each word said, the class grins more and more. Everyone ships them.

It. Is. Beautiful.

By now the class is chanting "Kiss. Kiss. Kiss." while banging their fists on the table correspondingly.

Percy turns to Annabeth, who blushes even more, and reaches up to her face and tucks a stray curl behind her ear. Then he cups the side of her face and brings her closer to him. Her eyes flutter closed and their lips connect.

The class cheers. Percy smiles against Annabeth's lips. She giggles in response before leaning in closer and claiming his lips again. She wraps her arms around his neck. His hands play with her hair as the kiss intensifies.

Some wise cracker *cough* Leo *cough* yells, "Get a room!"

Percy's head pulls back as he laughs. They walk back to their respective seats. Percy has a triumphant grin on his face. Annabeth too.

Ms. Falcon was in full on fangirl mode the entire time. "Alright class. Settle down. Now onto the real lesson..."
