Devante: okay. (walks to Pilar) good luck! you're gonna do well!

Pilar: i hope so! (kisses him) make sure to watch me!!

Devante: i got the TV set on the channel!

-Pilar walks out-

--AT The Interview--

Pilar: thank you so much for coming!!

Shaunte: no problem. how ya feelin?

Pilar: i got sick earlier. i think im alright now. 

Ed Lover: Pilar!! (walks to her)

Pilar: hey!! (hugs him)

Ed Lover: you ready for the show?

Pilar: of course!!

Ed Lover: okay. well, its time to start! 

Shaunte: ill be right here watching.

Pilar: thank you! 

-Pilar, Ed Lover and Doctor Dre, sit on the couches.-

Ed Lover: hey everybody! welcome to another episode of MTV Yo Raps! im your host with the most, Ed Lover.

Doctor Dre: and Im the original, Doctor Dre. (giggles) not to be confused with Dr. Dre from NWA.

Ed Lover: im sure that happens alot, being confused with him. (laughs)

Doctor Dre: yep! 

Ed Lover: well, (giggles), anyway, we have a special guest! Mrs. Pilar DeGrate!!!

-The hosts and crew members start to clap.-

Ed Lover: how are you doing, newly wed?!

Pilar: (smiles) im doing well. thank you for asking.

Doctor Dre: now, i hear that you're having twins.

Pilar: yes! a boy and a girl!

Ed Lover: did you pick out the names yet? 

Pilar: DJ and Camilla are their names. cute right?

Doctor: i suppose that DJ is names after me, 'cause uh (pops collar) i was supposed to be your husband! i was planning on marrying you long before Devante came around.

Ed Lover: (laughs) yo shut the hell up!

Doctor Dre: nah! ive been eyeing her since like '85.

Pilar: (laughs) well sorry about that. 

Ed Lover: okay! (giggles again) well, your album dropped back in March, and obviously, you cant go on tour for a while. but the album is called "Lessons Learned". now, why did you name it that?

Pilar: well, i have been through a lot since last year: i found out who my father was; i went through a serious incident with the first love of my life, Eazy-E; i had suffered a miscarriage; i had gotten married; met my dad's children; and then had gotten pregnant again in October. so as you can see, i have learned so many lessons, and learned new things about myself.  you know, back in May, i had lost the baby that i didnt know that i was pregnant with until the night before. and after learning about the miscarriage, it changed me. i became more of a woman and more of a careful person as well. but i also became an emotional creature as well. 

Doctor Dre: we had no idea about the previous baby. we're very sorry about that.

Pilar: thank you. the baby was a girl. and we named her Demita Carmen DeGrate.

Doctor Dre: very nice!

Ed Lover: so, you're going on tour next year, correct?

Pilar: yes! i will have my babies in June, so i will start in November. the tour in America will be over in January, and that is because im doing 2 cities of each state. so theres 50 states, then you multiply it by 2 cities, that will give me 100 days of the tour in America. but i wont be doing each tour day after day. then the tour in South America will be a whole month in June. ill come back home in July. then go to Europe for 2 months, so the tour there will end in September. the tour in Africa will be 2 months, so that'll end in November. after that, (giggles because its a lot to take in according to the shocked faces of the hosts) i will go Asia in the middle of November until the middle of December, and the tour for Australia will last for 3 days, because im gonna do just 3 cities there. and to end everything, i will bring the show to Canada for 4 cities. and this will all be before '93 starts, so ill be spending Christmas with my kids and husband.

Ed Lover: so it will be a year full of tours.

Pilar: yep! (smiles)

Ed Lover: you're a hard-working woman.

Doctor Dre: thats why shes the most popular, most award-winning, and the richest female artist there is! 

Pilar: wow! youve been doing your research! (smiles)

Doctor Dre: mhm!

Pilar: you can be my TV husband, if that makes you feel any better about my marriage to Devante. (laughs)

Ed Lover: (laughs really hard) please dont start this again! well, anyway, Pilar will be performing her most popular song to date, "Spicy" right after these commercials!

--Back at The DeGrate Residents--

Pilar: (comes in the house) hey babe!!

Devante: hey! 

Pilar: i see that you're all packed for this exciting adventure!

Devante: this tour is about to be amazing!

Pilar: yeah! your first one!! how long are yall gonna be gone for? (gets water out of the fridge)

Devante: we'll be gone 3 months. so ill be back in May. 

Pilar: whats the first city?

Devante: LA!

Pilar: oh wow! i love LA! but you already know where my heart lies!

Devante: Yeah, yeah, yeah! Manhattan! 

Pilar: YEP!! 

Devante: how long did you live in LA though?

Pilar: well, i was a baby when my mom went to LA, and she took me with her, which was in November of 1969. thats when she married Richard, and when i turned 1, she gave birth to my sister in October of 1971. Mind you, i was born in 1969 and Shaunte was born in 1964, by the way. So when my mom and Richard had divorced in March of '75. so my mom wanted to take me and Malina back to New York, and Shaunte wanted to live with her mom, who was married to my dad at the time. and this was all because Richard had drug use issues. so, i guess ive been there for only 5 out of my 22 years of life. 

Devante: girl! you've got family drama! next time, just say that you were a military brat when they ask you why you moved. (laughs)

Pilar: well, too bad!

Devante: alright babe! ive got to go! ill see you later!

Pilar: okay! im gonna be at the show when you come to the Broadway Theater, okay?

Devante: okay! (walks out)

Pilar: (says to self) no wheres that vibrator? (starts to walk upstairs) 

Devante: (opens the door and peeks head) and dont go looking for that vibrator either, its gone! i threw it away! (leaves again)

Pilar: DAMNMIT!!!
