-Back at the hotel-
-Devante comes in the room, only to see Pilar laying in the bed, facing the window.-
Devante: baby?
Pilar: you were wrong! (says without even looking at him)
Devante: i know. (sits on the bed) i didnt know that you were struggling with so much.
Pilar: theres time where i wish i could go back to being just your girl. our relationship was so fresh and sexy. we were the new "thing". now, we're parents and married. this trip is supposed to be for us to get our mojo back. do what ever we want, forget that we're parents and be free.
Devante: i know thats what you want. its nice to have moments like that, but baby, we are parents and we are married. this is our life. the life that God chose for us and I never want to give it up. i enjoy knowing that i have a family, that we created together. i love being a father and i love saying to the whole world that i have a wife. a woman that i am committed to. someone that i come home to every day. i would chose that life over this fantasy that we are trying to live here in D.R.
Pilar: (starts to cry) i just dont know how to balance everything. i lost myself. a 23 year old should never feel that way about themselves.
Devante: (holds Pilar from behind) its okay to have emotions. you dont have to hold it in. this is our life. its so full of love. one day, our kids are going to get older, and we can teach them all about music. we can dress them up in the best clothes and make so many memories together. you have to learn how to be your own woman and also be a wife and mom.
Pilar: (wipes tears) can we just have sex, please?
Devante: (looking confused) um...okay?
Pilar: come on. you something really sweet and now im turned on, so lets do this.
Devante: (giggles) i think you're crazy, but okay.
--AT SHAUNTE'S HOUSE--
Shaunte: (sits on couch) BAAAABBBBEEE!!!!
Andre: what? why are you yelling. im right behind you. (says as he brings dinner from the kitchen to the living room)
Shaunte: thank god! im starving. (digs into the rice and chicken)
Andre: oh geez. you must be pregnant.
Shaunte: maybe. (sips some of her orange soda)
Andre: well hopefully its a girl. we could name her Andrea.
Shaunte: oh now! we already named the boy after you, the girl will be named Shauna.
Andre: pick another one. thats too close to your name.
Shaunte: no its not. my name is Shauntelle.
Andre: yeah but we call you either Shaunie or Shaunte for short.
Shaunte: we can call her Auna for short.
Andre: that could work.
Shaunte: after this, im gonna take a pregnancy test, im feeling kinda weird.
Andre: (sees that she finished her food) would you like some more?
Shaunte: nope. (runs upstairs into the bathroom)
--5 minutes after going up stairs--
Andre: babe! whats taking so long?
-Andre walks into the bathroom.-
Andre: why are you crying babe?
Shaunte: (sitting on the toilet) my period came on. thats why ive been feeling so weirdly.
Andre: aaawww! well honey, after your period is over, we can try some more. its gonna be okay.
Shaunte: why cant i get pregnant?
Andre: you can. you did before and you can do it again. dont stress. lets go downstairs and get some chocolate cake.
--BACK AT THE HOTEL--
Pilar: (head hanging off the bottom of the bed) wow! (grins) that was amazing!
Devante: (laying in the middle of the bed, laying the opposite directs of her) i know! how did you even get at the bottom of the bed?
Pilar: baby? do i really have to recap everything? (laughs)
Devante: well yeah, i did put it down.
Pilar: yes! you put it up,down, left and right!
Devante: (hits her legs) thanks (giggles)
Pilar: (smiles) your welcome. you know, my legs are gonna be in so much pain tomorrow.
Devante: youll be aight.
