Shocking Revelations: Part 2

-CONTINUATION-

-At The Scene Of The Accident-

-Police and the ambulance have arrived.-

EMT member, Theresa: Ma'am? (shrugs Pilar) Can you hear me? Ma'am?! 

Police Officer, James: okay, we need to get her going to the hospital. 

Theresa: she has a broken right leg, head is bleeding. and she seems to be unconscious. she is also appearing to be pregnant.

James: she is pregnant, thats singer Pilar.

-Pilar is put onto a stretcher, and taken to the hospital.-

-Pilar then arrives at The Lower Manhattan Hospital.-

Theresa: (goes up to the team of doctors) We have singer Pilar DeGrate. she is 22 years old. she also expecting twins in June. she was in side-impact car accident, an hour ago. her family members have not been contacted. she has a broken right leg, blood trailing from her head, and she is unconscious.

Dr. Jackson: for how long?

Theresa: we arrived on the scene 30 minutes ago, and when we got to her, she was unconscious, sir.

Dr. Jackson: okay, thank you. weve got it from here.

-The EMT members leave. Pilar is taken into the emergency room. The doctors place her broken leg back into the the socket, and puts it into a cast. they then stitch up her bleeding head, and wipes her face with a cloth to remove the blood. they then check her uterus to see how the babies are doing, by doing a sonogram.-

Nurse Stacey: Dr. Jackson?

Dr. Jackson: yes? (still working on Pilar).

Nurse Stacey: We may need to do an emergency c-section.

Dr.Jackson: what?!?!

Nurse Stacey: the babies are in distress. i know that she is only 5 months, but they may need to be taken out.

Dr. Jackson: let me see. 

-The doctor looks at the monitor, and makes a decision.-

Dr. Jackson: alright! we'll do it in 30 minutes. call the OR and tell them that we're delivering twins. 

--At Phyllis' House--

-Phyllis answers her ringing phone.-

Phyllis: hello?

Devante: hello Ms. Phyllis. i havent been able to reach Pilar. have you seen her today?

Phyllis: yes, but she was on the way home when she left the recording studio. and that was 2 hours ago.

-Phyllis turns on the TV-

~~~TV News Report~~~

News reporter: Good Afternoon everybody, Im Erica Lee. and we are breaking through your regularly scheduled program to say that singer, and expectant mother, Pilar, has been involved in a motor vehicle accident. she was discovered by the police and EMT members, that she was unconscious. she was taken to a local hospital. Reporting from the news room, im Erica Lee.

~~~Tv News Report over~~~

Phyllis: oh my god!

Devante: what?

Phyllis: Pilar is in the hospital! she was in an accident! (starts panicking) call Malina! im gonna call Shaunte! im gonna go to the hospital.

Devante: okay! im getting on the next plane!

--BACK AT THE HOSPITAL--

-Pilar is transported to the OR. they begin the C-section.-

Dr. Jackson: yeah, Stacey! they needed to come out. 

Nurse Stacey: i hope that theyre alright!

-The doctor delivered the baby girl first.-

Nurse Stacey: Ill give it to Brianna.

Nurse Brianna: ill take her to get washed up. 

-The doctor then delivers the baby boy 2 minutes later.-

Dr. Jackson: okay!! they need to get measured, then down to the NICU!!

--Upstairs In The Lobby--

Phyllis: excuse me?!! is Pilar DeGrate here?

Front Desk Lady, Shirley: Shes in the Operating room.

Shaunte: for what?!?!!

Shirley: she's delivering the babies.

-Shaunte covers her mouth in shock and Phyllis almost passes out.-

--LATER THAT NIGHT--

-Devante and Malina comes rushing into the room that Pilar was staying in. only to see his bruised up and unconscious wife in bed, and Phyllis and Shaunte sitting in chairs.-

Phyllis: hi honey! 

Devante: hey. (goes to kiss Pilar on her forehead)

Phyllis: im glad that yall could make it!

Malina: of course mama! 

-Pilar's eyes start to flutter. it then opens fully.-

Pilar: De-- Devante? Devante?!!

Devante: yes honey? (rushes to her)

Pilar: what happened to me?

Devante: you were in a car accident. (tears fall down his face)

Pilar: am i still pregnant? my stomach is kind of flat.

-Then Nurse Stacey brings in the twins. each baby gets their own little hospital crib. Everybody is in awe.-

Nurse Stacey: hi Mrs. DeGrate! glad to see that you're awake! here are your babies. (gives them to her)

Pilar: did you name them Devante?

Devante: no.

Nurse Stacey: are you ready to name them?

Pilar: the girl is: Camilla Carmen DeGrate. and the boy is: Donald Earle DeGrate, the 3rd. 

Nurse Stacey: nice! well, we had delivered the babies early because they were in distress. they were greatly impacted by the accident. and you weren't breathing until the EMT crew had arrived.

Pilar: thank you so much! i guess February 5th, 1991 was their day! baby im so sorry that you had to leave your tour.

Devante: thats okay! im gonna be here for now on, helping you with the baby.

Pilar: no!! i want you to go back on tour. we will come with you if it makes you feel any better.

Devante: PILAR!!! I DONT WANT TO HEAR IT! IM LEAVING THE TOUR AND THATS FINAL!

-Everybody in the room looks shocked, but Pilar gets secretly turned on.-

Pilar: okay.

Devante: but the better question is: when can we have sex again?

Nurse Stacey: the second week of March. 

Devante: Jesus!! maybe i should go back on the tour.

Nurse Stacey: and just so you know, you came in the hospital at 2, got you into the delivery room at 2:30, and delivered Camilla at 2:45, with your son following at 2:47pm. so theyre 5 hours in age. (giggles)

Pilar: thank you! can you believe we are parents?

Devante: its crazy right?

-They look at the babies as they lay in Pilar's arms.-
