Pilar: (walks into the kitchen) my father is in New York.
Devante: nice! What's the special occasion?
Pilar: you, actually. Malina told my father that you like to put your hands on me.
Devante: oh...
Pilar: yep.
-The phone rings and Pilar answers it.-
Pilar: hello?
Phyllis: your father wants you over here, by yourself.
Pilar: okay. (Hangs up)
Devante: everything okay?
Pilar: nope. My father wants me over at the house. I'll see you later.
—At Phyllis house—
Pilar: hey everyone.
Richard: (takes a sip of beer) so, you want to explain to me what's been going on? (Gets up from the sofa).
Pilar: well, everything that you have heard is true.
Richard: and you have been staying with him because?
Pilar: because i want to:
Richard: don't be smart. You have never been the one to take shit from anyone. What has changed?
Pilar: I'm a wife and mother. That's what's changed.
Richard: that doesn't give an excuse to stay with this man. You pushed out 5 kids and this is how he repays you?
Phyllis: Richard, i know this is hard. It's hard for me, but this is Pilar's decision. Pilar has set clear rules for Devante to follow.
Richard: oh yeah? Like what?
Pilar: well, he has a curfew everynight, he cannot go to the club and cannot drink. Just basically what ever i require of him.
Richard: and i suppose that you are still laying up with him?
Pilar: no. I haven't had sex with him in a week, and i don't plan to for a long time. I also sleep in another room.
Richard: I'm just not okay with you staying with him.
Pilar: Dad, if this doesn't work, then i will file for divorce. But i am not ready for a divorce right now. Listen, you don't have to be chummy with him when you see him, but please be cordial.
Richard: alright. Anything for you.
Pilar: so, what's up with all of the bags?
Richard: I'm moving here. I figure that i spend more time with you and shauntelle. I thought that i needed to watch Malina, but she doesn't need my help. And besides, me and your mother have been seeing each other again. And we will be getting remarried.
Phyllis: look at my ring!!
Pilar: I'm in shock! How long has this been going on?
Phyllis: for a year.
Pilar: wow! Well, congrats.
—At the studio—
Devante: we gotta finalize this album.
Jo-jo: I'm so pumped for this album to come out.
Dalvin: yeah! The fans are gonna go crazy.
K-ci: so how is the household De?
Devante: man! I hate it! I hate what I've done to Pilar. We don't kiss, hug or make love. We're in separate rooms and not even acting like a married couple. And her father is in town. I know he's pissed.
K-ci: man! Richards in town?! Good luck man!
Devante: thanks.
—At Pilar's House—
Pilar: hey Amy. You can go ahead leave early. I'm gonna spend sometime with the kids today.
Amy: okay! See you tomorrow.
-Pilar picks up Camilla and the phone rings.-
Pilar: hello?
Malina: hey. How is everything?
Pilar: just great Malina. Just great. Thanks to you, Dad moved to New York. 
Malina: what?!! Listen, i didn't know that he was gonna walk in the house. I mean it is my house. And he bought a house already?
Pilar: nope. He's with Mom.
Malina: what?
Pilar: yeah, they're engaged. They've been together for a year.
Malina: wow. I didn't know.
Pilar: i didn't either. But I'm gonna call you later, I'm spending the day with the kids.
Malina: wow! That's a first (giggles).
Pilar: shut up...
