-At The DeGrate Residents-

Pilar: (walks in the door with crutches) FINALLY I AM HOME!

Devante: (walks in behind her) yeah! but, i wish the babies couldve came with us!

Pilar: (sits down on the couch) i know babe! but they were born 4 months early. 

Devante: yeah, i know.

Pilar: at least we have more time to get their clothes. since we didnt get them.

Devante: im gonna do that later.

Pilar: but!! i still want to have the baby shower!

Devante: sure honey! you deserve it! 

Pilar: good! i need some invitation cards, and then ill be set.

-In walks Phyllis.-

Pilar: What the hell are you doing here?

Phyllis: well hello to you both. im about to go get the car seats from the store. i was planning on getting them for the baby shower, but i suppose youre not having one anymore.

Pilar: actually, we are still doing it! i just need invitation cards.

Phyllis: well, i can have somebody do the invitations for you.

Pilar: wow! okay yeah, i would like that! thank you.

Phyllis: no problem! so when are the babies coming home?

Devante: we dont know. they are so tiny. maybe next month.

Phyllis: oh gosh! well anything that yall need, ill help you with. ill see yall later. (leaves out)

Pilar: that was nice of her. 

Devante: yeah, it was! (throws away his plate) im going upstairs, did you wanna come with?

Pilar: yeah, i need to take a nap anyways. 

-Devante then picks Pilar up and takes her upstairs.-

--At The Hospital--

-Malina and Shaunte stares at the babies through a glass window.-

Malina: they are so small!

Shaunte: i know.(sobs) how was the plane ride back here?

Malina: it was alright. you know, when i left the first time to go back to LA, last month, i was hoping that the babies would have been able to go home. but when i found out last night that Pilar was being released today, and that the babies would be staying, i had to get right back on the plane! 

Shaunte: thats got to be tough for you and your family.

Malina: yeah! but Suge understands. he's the same with his family. 

Shaunte: mom just called me, and said that Pilar is still gonna have the baby shower.

Malina: sounds like a good idea. me and the baby will be there. she needs to meet her cousins anyway, especially AJ. 

Shaunte: hopefully the babies will be out of the hospital. 

--At "Babies-N-Toys" store--

-Phyllis walks into the store, gets a cart and starts to look for clothes and car seats.-

Store Worker, Laila: hi! can i help you with anything?

Phyllis: yes! i need to find the best car seats there are for newborns!

Laila: right this way. 

-Phyllis then picks out a girl and a boy car seat. one is pink with flowers, and another is blue with spiderman all over it. she then goes and gets baby clothes, a breast pump, two baby bottles, and baby pajamas.-

--At The DeGrate Residents--

Pilar: (laying in the bed, scratching her leg under the cast) MY LEG ITCHES SO BADLY!!

Devante: (laughs) i can tell!

Pilar: shut up! 

Devante; (giggles) sorry. 

Pilar: man! can you believe we're parents?

Devante: its crazy right?

Pilar: yeah, it is.

Devante: how did you get into that car accident anyways?

Pilar: well, my mom, my cousin Lauren, and Shaunte were in the fitting room, and my mom had asked Lauren how her mom was doing and asked if she is still leeching off of my dad's money. then my mom reveals that Shaunte and Lauren's mom was there the night my mom had been beaten to the point where she had given birth to me early. and how they were the women that my dad wanted her to have a threesome with. so when she revealed all of that, i just felt so bad for my mom. and so i left crying. got into my car, and i was driving while tears were forming in my eyes, but my light was still green. so when i crossed the intersection, this huge truck slammed into me!

Devante: well baby, im glad that you're alright.

Pilar: yeah, but the twins are fighting for their lives. 

Devante: yes, but they will be alright! i promise!

Pilar: okay. if you say so. 

Devante: so when is the baby shower? 

Pilar: May 3rd. at 3pm. My mother will be hosting it at her house.

Devante: oh good! i wont be needing to do any decorating! thank god!

Pilar: happy much? 

Devante: hell yeah! while yall are decorating, ill be here, (starts smirking) playin with my will-

Pilar: okay! you're done! (laughs) thats disgusting. how do you pick preparing for a baby shower as a perfect time to masturbate? please explain. 

Devante: well, ill have the house to myself. when men are in the house alone, we do that.

-The phone rings, and Pilar answers.-

Nurse Stacey: im calling about the twins.

Pilar: oh hi Nurse Stacey! whats going on?

-(Devante's POV) Pilar answers the phone, only to hear the nurse on the other side of the phone call. Pilar asks whats going on with the babies, but when Pilar got the answer to her question, she turns her head to look at me. but this wasnt the look that she should be giving me right now. this was the look of terror.-

Devante: whats going on?

-Pilar hangs up the phone. then turns to Devante, but she cant even speak. Tears start to form in her eyes. Making Devante worried even more.-
