Past Curfew: Part 1

-Next week-

Devante: (walks into the studio) ok y'all. We need to start mixing and mastering the album.

Jo-jo: let's make this quick.

Dalvin: what you gotta do that's more important?

Jo-jo: i got a date with Sherry.

Devante: we should be outta here by 3.

Jo-jo: that's 5 hours

Devante: yep. (Smiles).

K-ci: (walks in) what's up y'all!

Devante: you were late because of Popeyes? I thought you said there was an emergency.

K-ci: yeah. I have a condition called Chicken & Biscuit deficiency.

Devante: Funny.

Dalvin: say man, what's going on with P?

Devante: what you mean?

Dalvin: she's gaining hella weight.

Devante: she's just stressed. She doesn't feel like working out or nothing. Just eating and sleeping. Oh, (pops collar) and of course, SEX!

Dalvin: that's not like her.

Devante: yeah, but imma just let her do what she wants to do. She needs to finish her album by next week, so I'm gonna force her to get out of the house.

Jo-jo: has she started recording?

Devante: she recorded 10 out of 15 songs. Then she has to pick her singles and then shoot music videos.

-At Shauntes House-

Phyllis: can you get me a glass of lemonade please?

Shaunte: sure. (Goes to the kitchen)

Pilar: (walks downstairs) i hate changing diapers.

Shaunte: i appreciate you. (Smiles) I've been nauseous this morning, so I'm not able to do it. (Gives Phyllis the drink).

Phyllis: when you gonna let them pants go? (Looks at Pilar)

Pilar: i don't know. I might have to start wearing my maternity clothes again.

Shaunte: or you could just lose the weight.

Pilar: i don't feel like it.

Shaunte: what the hell do you mean by that? You have never been like this. You need to get off of your ass and work out! And sex does not count.

Pilar: you must not watch us in the act. (Laughs).

Phyllis: we're serious. Are you depressed?

Pilar: i don't know. I really don't. I think I'm still going through postpartum depression.

Shaunte: after all of these months? It's been almost a full year.

Pilar: i know.

Shaunte: you need to get back to being yourself. Working out, recording your music, going to the park. You love parks.

-6 hours later-
-At Pilar's house-

Devante: (walks into the bedroom) you smell like sweat.

Pilar: i just did 2 hours of exercising downstairs. The beauty of having a home made gym. I can come upstairs when ever i want to take a nap. (Smiles).

Devante: I'm glad to see you getting back to yourself.

Pilar: thanks. How was your day?

Devante: it was great. We finished the album. It should be coming out in two months.
