--BACK AT THE HOUSE--

Pilar: (lays in bed) it is so good to be back in my bed!

Devante: i know!

Dr.Robinson: (comes in the hospital room) hey Pilar! (shakes her hand).

Dr.Robinson: getting on my nerves. (giggles) and you?

Pilar: same. 

Dr.Robinson: and that may be why youre getting this procedure done. now, you are very fertile Pilar. tying tubes may be 85% effective for you. i would suggest something a little more permanent. 

Pilar: like what?

Dr.Robinson: getting your uterus taken out. 

Pilar: oh. (has a shocked look on her face) thats very permanent. im not sure if i want that. 

Dr.Robinson: it has a couple of benefits, such as no more pregnancies and no more periods.

Pilar: its almost like im not going to be a woman anymore. 

Dr.Robinson: well?

Pilar: hhmmm...

--A FEW HOURS LATER--

Phyllis: (helping Pilar into the house) walk slow baby.

Pilar: everything hurts.

Phyllis: youre going to be in pain for a while. do you want to go upstairs on stay down here?

Pilar: stay down here. 

Phyllis: (helps Pilar lay on the couch) here's the remote. 

-Amy walks downstairs-

Amy: hows everything?

Pilar: im very sore Amy. thanks for everything, im gonna let you go home early, okay?

Amy: oh thank you so much! the kids are upstairs asleep. i will see you tomorrow. (leaves out).

Pilar: see ya!

Phyllis: do you want something to eat?

Pilar: naw! im gonna rest for a little. 

Phyllis: here. (grabs an electric heating pad and places it on Pilar's stomach) this should help. 

Pilar: the scar is huge! 

Phyllis: i know. its like you had a c-section. 

Pilar: im going to sleep now. 

--LATER THAT NIGHT--

Devante: (comes into the bedroom with some tea) here babe.

Pilar: (grabs the cup) thanks babe. im gonna let it cool off. (places it on the table).

Devante: let me see. (pulls up her shirt) wow. that scar is huge. 

Pilar: im surprised that youre not mad at me.

Devante: why would i be mad?

Pilar: because i didnt get my tubes tied, instead i did something more permanent. 

Devante: the tubes being tied is permanent.

Pilar: no. the doctor told me earlier that because i am very fertile, i had an 15% chance of getting pregnant. and I dont want any chance. getting my uterus removed gives me a 0% chance of getting pregnant. so no more birth control or taking pregnancy tests when missing a period or feeling sick. we can have safe, fun sex. (grins)

Devante: well honey, i like the sound of that. (kisses her) this is your body. 

Pilar: and this is our chance to take control of our future! im happy. i really am. and also, i wont have anymore periods, so im always able to do the nasty with you.

Devante: let me go through out these condoms and the birth control.

Pilar: baby, i cant have sex for another couple of weeks. so go on and masturbate.
