CHAPTER FOURTEEN

“So, I saw your interview today with Ellen,” Louis said as we got into his car.

“Oh God. That interview was interesting. Did you see everything?” I said and sighed to myself.

“Yes. So you’re the prankster of the group?” Louis laughed.

“No! Not really! I just wanted to have some fun. No harm intended. Plus it was funny,” I laugh.

“Putting laxatives in brownies and taking all of the toilet paper is fun? You’re definitely my kind of girl!” Louis said and looked over and winked at me.

“Well, I’ve always wanted to do it to someone. I bake brownies a lot because Jessica begs me too. She loves them and she would hate me if I did it to her. Nate would forgive me. And he did so mission accomplished. Now I know that they work for future references,” I said and laughed maniacally.

“Oh, now I’m scared. I better watch out,” Louis said nervously but still smiling.

“Don’t worry, since you’re new to me I won’t do that to you. Just after you’ve known me for a while and I feel like having a bit of fun.”

“Okay good. I also saw you cover Alex’s mouth to keep him from not saying who your One Direction crush is,” Louis said and looked at me sideways.

“Um, yeah that sounds accurate,” I said.

“Well it was hilarious to watch you freak out like that. The guys and I were watching it live this morning and we were cracking up like crazy. You blush a lot when you’re nervous. And we all want to see those videos you threaten Alex about. They must be bad if it kept his mouth shut,” Louis laughed.

“I think they are funny but since he hadn’t gone through puberty yet he was small, short, and had a girl voice. So he hates them,” I laugh remembering the time when we shot the videos.

“Oh then they must hilarious! One day, I’ll convince you to let me see them,” he said knowingly.

“Hm, we’ll see,” I said loving what he said because it implied he would be around awhile.

“And we will. I’m not going anywhere Rose,” he told me seriously.

“Then I’m not either,” I said confidently. “By the way, yesterday you mentioned to me you knew who Le Fanatics were before the VMAs, how did you know that?”

“The first time I heard your voice was during the interview you had with Elvis Duran. It was about a month ago. You sounded so sweet and cute over the radio that I couldn’t stop listening until you guys left. You played the acoustic version of One Day and I thought it sounded so raw I guess. I could hear that you meant every word you said in the song and that you truly hoped you would one day wake up to a brighter day,” he said.

Wow, he knew who I was for a while before I even got to meet him. He even knew the lyrics to my song. I was so surprised. I mean, I know the lyrics to all of One Direction’s songs but that is different, right?

“You’re being quiet for once. I have one question that I really wanted to know,” he asked me.

“What is that?” I asked him curiously.

“Did you write the song One Day?”

“Yes, I did,” I answered.

“It’s beautiful. I really loved it. When did you write it?” He asked me.

“I wrote it when I was a freshman in high school I think. It was always my favorite song that I had ever written. So when the band was discovered, I showed them the song and they all loved it. Thanks, I’m really happy you liked it. It means a lot to me,” I said.
