CHAPTER FORTY
“Rose Rose please wake up,” someone was saying frantically in my ear. I recognized the voice as Louis.
I fluttered my eyes open quickly. Another nightmare of the accident. No make those painful images go away. I don’t like remembering that. I looked up at Louis and held onto him on pure instinct. I was shaking. I was sweating. And my head was pounding on top of it all. Stupid nightmare. Stupid hangover.
“Another nightmare babe?” Louis asked me soothingly as he held onto me tighter. Slowly, I nodded my head. “Do you want me to get the doctor?” He asked me and then I shook my head.
“No. I’ll be fine. I just have to calm down,” I mumbled reassuringly against his chest. That was when I noticed we were both naked and I remembered what happened the previous night. I blushed slightly while looking up at him, “We did it.” That was all I could think to say. Great job Rose.
“Yes. We did. Did I hurt you? Are you alright?” Louis asked me scared as he searched my eyes.
“No I’m not hurt. I just feel different. I love you,” I said to him and he grinned before lowering his head down to kiss me.
“I love you too. And last night was incredible for me. You’re beautiful. I just wish we hadn’t had been so drunk,” he whispered in my ear.
“It was amazing for me as well. And I agree. I don’t quite like this pounding in my head from being drunk and I don’t like waking up each morning from nightmares,” I murmured against his chest.
“I don’t like you waking up like that either. Maybe it’s a way of letting your mind heal from the accident,” Louis said thoughtfully.
Just then the phone to the hotel room rang. We both froze at the sound before I detached myself from Louis and reached to go and answer it.
“Hello,” I said into the receiver.
“Rose! You’re up. Good job. It’s seven in the morning and we have to be at the interview place in an hour so I was calling to wake you guys up to be ready. I assume Louis is with you correct?” Liam’s voice came out cheerfully through the phone.
“Yeah he’s here. We’re both awake actually,” I answered.
“Louis is actually awake? Wow that’s a new one. Well I’ll leave you both to go get ready. Do you want me to send Danielle in there to help you?” Liam asked me.
“That would be lovely. We can get ready together,” I said happily.
“Ok Danielle will be over in five minutes. She has a key to your room. Tell Louis to get ready. See you in the lobby soon. Bye bye,” Liam said and disconnected the call.
“So we have five minutes to get changed into some clothes before Danielle walks in here to help me get ready for the interview,” I said while looking into Louis’s eyes.
“Awh I like staying like this,” Louis pouted and I sat up to kiss him. He wrapped his arms around me and tried deepening the kiss but I, reluctantly, pulled away. He groaned as I did so and I laughed.
“Maybe later,” I whispered into his ear.
“Ok I’ll try to wait. Let’s get clothed. Don’t need anyone questioning us,” Louis said and I nodded in agreement.
We both quickly slipped on our clothes from last night and laid in bed together while we waited for Danielle. Sure enough, in five minutes time, Danielle unlocked the door to my room and walked in.
“Same clothes as last night. You’re not fooling me. I don’t want to know! Louis out! Go back to your room with Harry and wake him up! Rose and I have to get ready,” Danielle said and Louis and I both started laughing.
