CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR

“Sean!” I said excitedly when he walked into my room.

“Rose!” Sean said just as excitedly with a huge smile on his face.

Over the few days of being in the hospital, Sean and I had grown a lot closer. He was always with me when any of the One Direction boys had to leave for photoshoots or interviews. Alex and Nate were in and out as well. I never asked where they went. Whether they wanted to tell me or not was their business. Jessica and Danielle stay around a lot as do Melissa and Sam.

Danielle and Sean got along really well. Maybe it was because they were closer in age compared to anyone else. Well, it didn’t matter. I’m just glad everyone was enjoying Sean’s company as much as I was. So that way he wouldn’t have to leave when everyone came because we all got along. It was nice.

“Ready to go to physical therapy?” Sean asked me. That was when I noticed he had the wheelchair with him.

“Yep,” I said and slowly lifted myself up.

“Who is coming with us today?” Sean asked the people in the room. At the moment only Jay, Lottie, Liam, and Danielle were in the room. Each day everyone alternates about who gets to go with me to my physical therapy lesson. None of the Tomlinsons have gone yet, including Louis. And I’m kind of glad he hasn’t come. We were doing alright. I asked him again to take things slow with me, meaning no kissing. As much as I didn’t want to say that, I knew I had to in order to take things slow. I just wish this broken heart would heal faster though. I wasn’t mentally getting any better. And everyone knew it. I still hadn’t even accepted the fact that I was pregnant.

“Lottie and I will go,” Jay said as they both stood up.

“Ok Rose let me carry you to the wheelchair,” Sean said and placed his arms under me to lift me up. I wrapped my one good arm around him so that I would be balanced.

He placed me in the wheelchair and we all headed towards the physical therapy room. Jay and Lottie both seemed quite nervous but I guess that was normal.

“Ok Rose. Today is the day. Today is the day that you are going to walk to me. Are you excited?” Sean asked as he rolled the wheelchair into the room with Jay and Lottie following right behind us.

“Are you sure? I’m going to fall,” I warned him.

“No you won’t,” he said much too confidently.

“How do you figure that?” I challenged.

“Because I believe in you. I know you can do it,” he said while giving me a weird look. I felt awkward and nervous so I decided to look in another direction.

“Thank you Jay and Lottie for coming with us today,” I smiled up at the two.

“No problem at all Rose. We’re here for you,” Jay said reassuringly and I nodded.

“Ok first thing you have to do is stand up. Then slowly, and gently, walk over to me. I know you can do it. We’ve been practicing,” Sean encouraged and I gulped. I was honestly terrified of falling over again. I don’t like feeling this useless.

“Ok,” I mumbled and took a deep breath. I placed my hands on both sides of the wheelchair and used them to lift myself up. I placed my good foot forward first and then gently did the same with the other. I was almost to Sean when I lost my balance on fell on top of him causing both of us to fall on the floor. I lifted my head up to look at Sean, and blushed slightly while looking at his handsome face, and we both started laughing hysterically.
