"We aren't leaving." Rick said. The whole group was in the cellblock and Merle was on the other side of the door, locked out. I was leaning against the wall next to my cell.

"We can't stay here." Hershel said.

"What if there's another sniper, a wood pallet won't stop one of those rounds." Maggie argued.

"We can't even go outside." Beth said.

"Rick says we're not leaving. We're not leaving." Glenn said.

"No, better to live like rats." Merle chimed in.

"You got a better idea?" Rick asked.

"Yeah we shoulda slipped outta here last night while we had the chance. Live to fight another day. I'm sure he's got scouts on every road outta here by now." Merle said.

"We ain't scared of him." Daryl said, walking past me.

"Y'all should be. That walkers through the fence thing? That was him just ringing the doorbell. We might have some thick walls to hide behind, but he's got the guns and the numbers. And if he takes the high ground around this place, shoot. He could just starve us out if he wanted to."

"Let's put him in the other cellblock." Maggie said.

"No, he's got a point." Daryl said.

"This was all you, you started this." Maggie pointed at Merle.

"What's the difference whose fault it is?" Beth asked. "What do we do?"

"I said we should leave, now Axel's dead. We can't just sit here." Hershel argued.

Rick started to walk away and Hershel stood up.

"Get back here!" He yelled. I jumped and stood up, walking to the railing and leaning on it. "You're slipping Rick. We've all seen it, we understand why. But now is not the time. You once said this isn't a democracy, now you have to own up to that. I put my family's life in your hands. So get your head clear and do something." He finished. Rick looked back and he looked regretful. We all just stood for a second, then Rick walked out, grabbing a gun.

I sighed and went into my cell to eat something. Downstairs, people were still arguing about anything and everything. I laid down and closed my eyes, trying to think of anything else.

I woke up to the sound of footsteps outside my cell. I looked out and saw Daryl pacing around on the perch.

"Hey." I said. And he looked over. I waved him in and he shook his head. I got up and walked out, putting a hand on his shoulder. He stopped and looked at me, then went into a cell two down from mine. I followed him and saw all of his stuff inside.

"When did you do this?" I asked.

"A while ago." He answered. I nodded and turned around, then stopped and faced him again.

"Thankyou." I said.

"For what?" He asked.

"Everything. For saving me at the river, for saving me at the tower. You seem to be saving me a lot, so thank you." I smiled and he looked up.

"Guys, we need you in position." Rick yelled throughout the block. I glanced out then turned my attention back to Daryl, kissing him quickly.
