he isnt that bad

alot can happen in a day

the next day rachel was at school exhausted she hadnt slept much last time as jacob was starting with a cold she and sebastian are taking him to the doctors after school.

rachel is currently sat in spanish class the with and blaine at either side of her she is feeling on edge today as finn has been smiling at her which given he hasnt spoken to her since jacob  was born is surprising her.

" right then class work in groups of four and try to hold a  conversation in spanish" mr shue said finn got up and alked over to their table and sat down.

" hey" he said

" hey" kurt said approvingly rachel wondered if kurt had spoken to his stepbrother.

" hey rach" he said

" hey" rachel said

" Spanish guys" mr shue said walking past their table.

" can we talk after school" finn asked

" i am taking jacob to the doctors so i cant " rachel said thruth was she really didnt want to talk to him she had changed since havin jacob and the situation with finn always been torn between her and quinn had been exhausting and she didnt have the energy to deal with that anymore.

" is he ok i mean is he sick" finn asked

" he has a cold but he is so young i want him checked" rachel said

" i will come with you rach yoy should go alone" finn said

" i wont be alone sebastian is coming with me" rachel said

" he might be there for jacob i mean i will be there for you" finn said

" i dont think its such  a good idea for one thing i doubt quinn would like it  but mainly i dont want an awkward scene for jacob's sake" rachel said

" sebastian is been very supportive of rachel" blaine said both finn and kurt shot him a look

" what... he has" blaine said as the bell rang signalling the end of the school day.

rachel packed up  her things and rushed to her locker to get her things she didnt want to be late for the appointment.

an hour later

rachel had picked jacpb up from home and made her way to tye doctors sebastian was to meet them there as the drive from dalton was longer than the drive from mckinley to her house and to the doctors.

as she walked in pushing jacob in his stroller she saw sebastian sat in the waiting room he got up and went to the counter to tell them jacob was here . as he did that rachel went and sat in the chair next to the one he had just got up from. she watched as a grumpy jacob gurgled away she felt awful seeing her little boy not feeling well.

" hey little man come to daddy" sebastian said getting him out of the stroller and holding him jacob was sniffling

" oh bless him" rachel said holding his little hand

" i know its awful him been ill i wish it was me" sebastian said

" me to... i mean i wish i was ill not him" rachel said

" i knew what you meant" sebastian said

" jacob  berry" the doctor called sebastian got up and carried him into the room while rachel pushed the stroller.

" now then i gather the little chap isnt feeling to well" the doctor said ( its not the doctor that was in cahoots with charles)

" no he has a cold" rachel said

" lets have a little look at him" the doctor said sebastian placed him on the bed in the room so the doctor could check him over.

" well good news is his chest his clears so it is just a cold i will prescribe some infantile tylonol to keep his temperature down plus it will make him dowsy so he should sleep better" the doctor said

" thank you" rachel said they left the doctors room

" you take him home i will get his prescription " sebastian said

" actually i need some things from the pharmacy  so i will get it you take him home" rachel said

" ok" sebastian said he didnt bother putting him into the stroller instead he carried him to his car and placed him in his car seat.

" see you soon" sebastian said to her as he got into his car

" yeah" rachel said

as rachel arrived at the local pharmacy she headed to the counter and handed over jacob's prescription then got some nipple pads to stop her milk leaking she had been to embarrassed to ask sebastian to get her some.

after getting everything rachel headed home only as she arrived she wished she hadnt as stood onnher driveway was sebastian and finn both red in the face and glaring at each other.
