birthday part four: ultimate surprise

rachel made her way through the crowd to sebastian who was now talking to hunter quinn was still holding jacob cuddling him.

" hey baby" rachel said fussing over jacob who was happily looking around at all the sparkle of the decorations.

" he is so cute" santana said taking him from quinn

" he is " quinn said

" i was curious what his son would be like" santana said as the music started

" i would have thought it would have been obvious he would be perfection" sebastian said pulling rachel to him.

" dance with me" sebastian whispered rachel nodded he led her to the dancefloor which filled up around them.

" i hope your ok with a party i was debating whether or not to do this" sebastian said

" i am i didnt think i would want one but i like this" rachel said

" good" sebastian said

" klaine cuddle " kurt said as the song finished he and blaine were dancing around her making her giggle she then saw sebastian moving through the crowd he wondered what he was upto.

" are you going to tell me what he is upto" rachel asked

" ofcourse not" blaine said

" so i am right he is upto something else" rachel said

" our lips are sealed" kurt said

" you know he tuck me up in a hot air balloon." rachel said

" we know" they said together

" does everyone know" rachel asked

" yes" thad said as he danced past them

" he wantee you to have a special day" blaine said

" and it is going to be" puck said as he danced past.

" i cant believe you all know" rachel said

" oh and by the way i have put a little extra treat in the punch so control yourself rach" puck said before disappearing through the crowd in the same direction sebastian had.

" hello babe" sebastian said appearing behind her wapping his arms around her

" Where have you been" rachel asked

" im not telling you " sebastian said rachel saw the rest of the crowd on the dancefloor disperse to the tables leaving her and sebastian on the dancefloor. quinn came over and handed jacob to her  so it was just rachel sebastian and jacob on the dancefloor. then the lights went off a spot light came over them as another shone onnthe stage revealing trent microphone in hand with thad nick puck and sam stood behind him he began to sing unconditionally by katy perry. rachel and sebastian stoof swaying with jacob hekd between them it was such a special moment rachel wss in tears that sebastian had to take jacob from her he held her close as the song ended.

" you want some air" sebastian asked rachel nodded he led her quickly to a near by exit jacob still in his arms.

" you ok" sebastian asked once they were outside

" yeah" rachel said wiping her eyes

" if its any comfort your mascara is waterproof" sebastian said as he handed her his hanky.

" thank you" rachel said taking it.

hey remanined outside for a few minutes until she managed to calm herself down once they were back inside they went to the table. everyone must have realised she had gotton upset as no one mentioned anything.

" ladies and gentlemen the buffet is now open" the dj said

" come on rach" santana said taking her hand and leding her to the buffet table.

" birthday girl first " santana said as they walked to the front of the line.

" and then her best friends " kurt said arriving next to santana

" no" quinn said

" what" kurt asked

" if we are cueing in order of importance its rachel then sebastian then us" quinn said

" good point where is he SEBASTIAN " santana yelled

" what" sebastian asked as he made his way over

" you go with rach for food" santana said

once they had their food they all sat round the tables eating and chatting quinn was once more holding jacob she seemed pretty smitten with him.

" so how has your day been so far" santana asked

" amazing" rachel said

" and its not over yet" sebastian said

" i knew you were up to something else" rachel said

" im always upto something " sebastian said

the next few hours were spent dancing and having fun rachel had to admit she was having a good time she thought about her dads often but she knew they would want her to have a special day.

rachel was sat with quinn and mercedes when sebastian's voice filled the room she looked wt saw him on the stage she knew this surprise was going to be something as everyone was looking at her.

" hello everyone as you all know what is about happen i thank you all for helping me with this and a special tha k you to kurt for not blabbing this to rachel. so rachel this is what we have called your ultimate surprise hope yoy enjoy it" sebastian said before handing the dj the microphone and making his way to the table and tapped his knee for her to sit on his lap which she did.

the wall behind the dj suddenly lit up and a huge picture of jacob filled the wall thenkurt and blaine.

the projection was a vidoe and blaine on the video started to talk.

" hello rachel we just wanted to say happy eighteenth birthday" blaine said as kurt blew her a kiss

then sebastian was on screen hold jacob who making baby noises whenever sebastian tried to speak it made her laugh when jacpb finally stopped sebastian said i think that says it all. making everyone laugh. the video then cut to quinn and hutner then mercedes all her friends had messages for her rachel wss in tears by the end of it. then the screen went blank the. the words and a very special message for you rachel and then when the persons face appeared on the wall rachel screamed in shock as tnere on the all was a smiling barbra streisand.

" hello rachel i few weeks ago i recieved dozens of letters all from ohio asking me to wish a very special person a happy birthday.  i also recieved a disc which i was told to watch i was curious so i did i have to say you truly are a talented girl. i also know that this year hasnt been easy for you so i hope you are enjoying your special day. now as its your birthday i thought what do you do when its someones birthday you give them presents. so i have a present for you rachel during the summer i am in new york at covent garden and you are going to be there and then after the show your coming backstage to meet me. i hope you have a fabulous time at your party so with out further a do." barara said

she stsrted to sing happy birthday as they rest of them joined in rachel was in a world of her own Barbara  streisand the Barbra had just wished her happy birthday she had just sang hapoy birthday to her. she rachel barbra  berry was going to meet barbra.

" rach" sebastian said

" i cant believe " rachel said stunned

" how did you" rachel asked

"  all wrote to her thankfully my uncle martin lives near her he hand delivered the  letters when you came home and he was there he brouh me the vidoe of her" sebastian said

" thank you" rachel said cuddling him before hugging all of them at the table.
