teething

the next day sebastian was at home sat at the coffee table with thad and hunter they were having a study session. rachel was talking to quinn in the kitchen jacob wasnt happy today he was starting to teeth and he had been grumpy all day to the point rachel had stayed home with him as she couldnt leave maggie to look after him when he was like that she felt tight.

" so do you know anymore about beth" rachel asked as she cuddled a crying jacob

" puck said shelby said shr tuck her eye off hrr for a second thennhesrd screaming she said she tripped and hit her face on the coffee table" quinn said rubbing her face it was clear this was havingan affect on her.

" do you believe that" rachel asked

" i dont think shelby would do anything intentionally to beth but o believe she wasnt watching her probably " quinn said

" have you seen beth" rachel asked

" no and shelby is keeping a low profile since the accident she hasnt been to work at carmel high puck has been going everyday to try to see her"  quinn said

" i havent seen her since " rachel said

" how was beth when you saw her hat day in the baby store" quinn asked she had asked this question numerous times rachel always answered the same way.

" she looked perfect she looked like you lerfect blonde hair big green eyes cute dimples she was perfect she is perfect" rachel said

" hunter and i have been talking about our future" quinn said suddenly

" oh" rachel said

" as you know i was thinking about yale" quinn said

" yeah" rachel said

" well hunter is going to nyu they happen to have a very good drama programme there so we thought we might both go to new york. then ofcourse the following year you and seb would join us i know kurt is going and blaine will be next year with you guys it would be fun if we were all there" quinn said

" i would love you to be in new york when i get there" rachel said hugging quinnnthey had become  more like sisters in the weeks since her dads had died.

jacob began to really have a tantrum he was kicking his legs out and screaming his head off.

" poor little thing" quinn said stroking his head.

" can you pass me the teething ring out of the fridge. " rachel asked quinn did that rachel placed it infront of jacob he began to chew on it though he still cried his head off.

" isnt there anyhing he doctor can give him" quinn asked

" he gave us some gel but you can only use it a few times a day so he isnt due it yet" rachel said as sebastian walked into the kitchen.

" he isnt happy today is he " sebastian said

" no he isnt" rachel said

" come here little man lets see if a cuddle from daddy will help" sebastian said taking him from rachel and he tuck him into the living room.

" i cant believe he is four months old." rachel said

" it passes quickly doesn't it" quinn said

" yeah it does pregnancy doesnt pass so quickly " rachel said

" no it doesnt" quinn laughed.

" oh my god listen jacob has stopped crying" rachel said the two girls walked back into the living room to find jacob laid in the arms of hunter.

" you did it" quinn said

" yeah" hunter said

" he did what his sister did to sean" sebastian said

" your a natural " thad said just as jacob started crying again hunter handed him back to seb who sat him onnhis knee as he was sat at the coffee table.

jacob stopped crying up was still very grumpy he started banging his hands on the table and then threw up over sebastian's essay.

" ah" sebastian said quickly movingnhis work but it was too late the paper was covered in it.

" let me take him" rachel said

" that sucks" thad said

" nah its alright it was a load of rubbish anyway" sebastian said chucking the paper into the bin and taking out a new sheet.

" im gonna bath him it might cool him down" rachel said

" i will help" quinn said

" are you sure i will do it " sebastian asked

" im sure you do your essay" rachel said

" again" thad said

rachel and quinn were now up in rachel's room rachel was getting the bath ready quinn was holding jacob

" ready" rachel said quinn carried him through rachel tuck him stripped him and placed him into the inflatable chair he was screaming his head off again. rachel got some toys and put them into thw water with him he started to calm down alittle.

" is this a little ducky" quinn said playing with a toy he smiled at her at which point quinn burst into tears.

" oh quinn" rachel said hugging her

" i miss her" quinn sobbed

" come here" rachel said holding her close

(knocking on the bathroom door.)

" we are busy" rachel said not wanting someone to walk in and see quinn upset

" it just me" hunter said

" come in" quinn said he did so he helped quinn up off the floor and led her into the bedroom rachel turned her attention to washing jacob.

sebastian  walked in a minute later and got down where quinn had been

" hey little man" sebastian said

" think the water has cooled him down" rachel said

" well done for thinking of it" sebastian said looking at her proudly

" its what anyone mom would have done" rachel said

" not necessarily dont put yourself down your a brilliant mom" sebastian said

" he is lucky he has a brilliant dad too" rachel said

" and a very good looking one" sebastian said

" yes and a humble one " rachel said

" what is your mommy saying jacob is she saying that daddy isnt humble its my middle name" sebastian said

" i thaought that was martin" rachel asked

" it is i am sebastian humble martin smythe its on my birth certificate " sebastian said

" speaking of birth certificates you need to sign his" rachel said

" im i on his" sebastian asked

" yes i told them your name but you need to sign it" rachel said

" we will get that surted out" sebastian said

" then there is his name" rachel said

" his name" sebastian said

" well i wondered if you wanted to change it" rachel said

" change it" sebastian asked looking confused

" well because your dad wouldnt let you be there when i registered him he had to take my surname which means at the moment legally he is jacob berry" rachel said

"jacob smythe does have a ring to it" sebastian said

" well i dont mind that" rachel said

" so little man your going to be officially a smythe better work on your smirk" sebastian said

" honestly " rachel giggled
