rachel's surprise

rachel is at home with jacob she plans to go back to school on monday so she has been enjoying today with jacob as she is having separation issues at the thought of been away from him.

sebastian arrived home from dalton about thirty minutes ago he has gone upstairs to have a shower.

as rachel ks laid on the floor entertaining jacob trying to make him laugh sebastian comes down the stairs smiling at her.

" well then rach you best go get ready" sebastian said

" get ready" rachel asked

" yep oh didnt i tell you" sebastian said looking very pleased with himself

" tell me what" rachel asked

" well i realised we have a child together we live together yet i have never actually taken you on a date " sebastian said

" a date" rachel said smiling

" yep so go get ready" sebastian asked

" but jacob" rachel asked

" jacob is going to be babysat by quinn hunter kurt blaine mercedes and sam" sebastian said

" a whole team of babysitters" rachel said

" only the best for our son" sebastian said helping her up off the floor

" where are we going " rachel asked as sebastian cuddled her

" why would i tell you and ruin the surprises i have planned" sebastian said

" if i dont know what we are going to be doing then how will i know what to wear" rachel said

" well as i am in no doubt that whatever you wear you will look perfect you should wear whatever you want" sebastian said before kissing her.

the door bell rang sebastian went and opened the door and in walked mercedes and quinn.

" come on rach lets get you ready " mercedes said taking her hand and leading her up the stairs as quinn followed them up to her room.

" ok rach dont take this the wrong way but no reindeer sweaters tonight " mercedes said opening rachel's closet.

" go hop in the shower leave the rest to us" quinn said before giving het a hug.

" im so happy for you " quinn said

rachel went and had a shower and took time conditioning her hair which she hadnt really done since jacobbwas born as she didnt have time for a long shower anymore.

as she walked out of her ensuite she saw mercedes and quinn stood by her bed and several outfits spread out infront of them.

" well i think she should wear this dress she has great legs" mercedes was saying niether girl knew she was there.

" i know but its her first date since having jacob i just think she might feel self conscious so maybe something more comfortable like that pale pink glittery swewter and these jeans" quinn was saying.

" i understand that but he has seen her naked so he will know she has great legs" mercedes said

" i know that i just think rachel will feel more comfortable covered up and you said yourself he knows whats underneath. " quinn said

" hey" rachel said both girls turned around and smiled at her

" ok rachel you have two options you have this beautiful black lace dress or this pale pink glittery sweater and these skinny jeans. " mercedes said

" i think the second option is more appropriate " rachel said quinn gave her a knowing smile.

thirty minutes later rachel was dressed quinn was drying her hair for her while mercedes was painting her nails.

" he is one seriously lucky boy" mercedes said as rachel was now ready.

" you think " rachel asked feeling self conscious this was the first time apart from her dads funeral that she had made an effort with her appearance.

" absolutely he loves you in your sweats he will worship you dressed like this" quinn said

" thank you" rachel said

" mercedes could you give us a minute " quinn asked

" sure i think sam might be here now" mercedes said leaving the room.

" so your first official date" quinn said

" yeah" rachel said smiling

" dont worry jacob will be fine" quinn said

" i know he will be" rachel said

" sebastian is excited" quinn said

" yeah i picked up on that" rachel said

" your not worried that he will expect anything are you but that isnt what tonight is about he wants you  to have a night out just the two of you. " quinn asked

" im not worried about that i just i know this sounds stupid but my life is jacob and grieving for my dads  im more bothered about been boring" rachel said

" you know why i love hunter so much rach its because the parts of myself i hate are why he loves me. sebastian loved you anyway his love deepened because of jacob he loves you more after seeing you throw yourself into being a mom to help you cope with your dads deaths. he wont think your boring at all rachel the guy adores you i think  more than you even realise" quinn said hugging her.

" thank you" rachel said
