the aftermath

rachel was still sat on the couch mr shue was sat with her as was kurt maggie had gone to identify her dads as blaine and sebastian came down stairs.

" rachel do you want a cup of tea" sebastian asked  she nodded

" i will make it kurt will you help me" blaine said kurt got up and was replaced by sebastian on the couch.

" rachel im here for you whenever you need me " mr shue said

" thank you" rachel said

" is it alright if mercedes comes" kurt asked having walked back in

" ofcourse" sebastian said

" you have some great friends around you rachel" mr shue said

" i need some air" rachel said getting up she had been at the house often enough either dropping jacob off or picking him up to know how to getbto the garden.

they had a beautiful garden just outisde the french doors was a decked area with a iron tabke and chairs she sat down on one of the chairs. trying to get her head around something which was impossible to comprehend.

rachel didnt know how long she sat there until she started to shiver then she felt something draped around her shoulders it was one of maggie's jackets she looked and saw sebastian sit down in the chair next to her.

"i wont bother asking you if you're ok you wont know how your feeling...um word has gotton out about what has happened most of the glee club are on their way over they want to see you" sebastian said

" is jacob alright" rachel asked

" still asleep " sebastian said

" he wont even remember them" rachel said

" but you will tell him about them so will i" sebastian said

" you will" rachel asked

" yeah im not gonna tell him about my dad it should have been him" sebastian said

" i wouldnt wish it on anyone" rachel said

" i know i just mean you have been through so much and now this " sebastian said getting upset

" my dad leroy always said everything happens for a reason i cant help but eonder if i had to have jacob to focus on to get me through this" rachel said

" you should look at thst way thry live on in him" sebastian said

" yeah i guess they do" rachel said then voices could be heard from the house.

"guess thats the glee club" sebastian said

" yeah" rachel said standing up sebastian did the same and they both walked back inside she wasnt even fully through the doorway when mercedes hugged her.

" im so sorry" she said

" thank you" rachel said

" come here my jewish American princess" puck said picking her up and hugging her

" im here if you need me" puck said putting her back down rachel nodded feeling overwhelmed as most of the glee club was stood infront of her.

" rach" finn said walking into the room she was surprised to see him given this was sebastian's house sebastian had stepped alittle infront of her at finn's arrival.

" rach i must want to say if you need anything in here for you we are all here for you" finn said

" thank you " rachel said before bursting out crying again.

" why dont you all go into the room throught that door" sebastian said pointing

" yeah lets give her a breather" mercedes said giving her another hug before following the others.

" rachel dont worry about school i have left a message for principle figgins juzt focus on yourself and jacob" mr shue said.

" thank you " rachel said mr shue then went to be with the others leaving her alone with sebastian.

" if your overwhelmed i will send them home apart form klaine they should stay" sebastian said

" please" rachel said she went and sat back outside whuke he did so it was all to much for her. she was thankful for their support but they was only so many times she could hear the words im sorry.

she sat there lost in thought for several minutes until sebastian came out and sat back in the chair he had done before he placed a baby monitor on the table.

" they have all gone kurt and blaine have gone tk theirs to get some things they wont be long" sebastian said

" right " rachel said

" idid offer them some of my clothes but kurt said they werent to his taste and blaine well he would have tripped over the bottom of the trousers wouldnt he" sebastian said

" yeah he would" rachel said

" hey" maggie said walking out towards them

" are you ok" sebastian asked her she nodded

" was it them" rachel asked her voice breaking

" im afraid so"  maggie said

"oh" rachel said crying again she had been clinging to the hopeit was all a case of mistaken identity now she knew it really was true.

" you must be exhausted why dont you go on up to  bed" maggie asked

" i will do" rachel said

" do you want jacob in with you" sebastian asked

" yeah i need him with me " rachel said standing up

" ok just give me five minutes set up his travel cot" sebastian said

" ok" rachel said

while sebastian was doing that rachel and maggie went inside as it was getting colder as they wntered the house kurt and blaine arrived back.

" its ready" sebastian said walking down the stairs

" rachel walked over to jacob who was still asleep she picked him up without waking him and carried him slowly up the stairs the guestroom.

" can i come in and kiss him goodnight" sebastian asked as they reached the bedroom door.

" ofcourse " rachel said rachel walked into the guestroom and stood by he travel cot sebastian bent slightly to kiss jacob's forehead rachel then did the same before placing him gently into the travel cot.

they both stood there watching him sleeping so innocent having no idea of the turmoil that was happening around him.

" im really going to step up with him" sebastian said after minutes or two had past

" your an amazing dad" rachel said

" you think so" sebastian asked

" yeah i couldnt have doen it without you " rachel said sebastian put his arm around her pulling to the side of him they remained like that for a few minutes.
