he isnt that bad

sebastian's sweet surprise

the next morning rachel woke up to jacob laid next to her smiling at her he seemed in a happy mood rachel wondered where sebastian was.

after getting jacob sorted out and herself washed and dressed she headed downstairs with jacob gurgling away in her arms.

" morning" maggie said she was sat reading a magazine on the couch.

" morning where is seb" rachel asked

" upstairs " maggie said getting up off the couch to take jacob to have a cuddle.

" he wasnt in his bedroom " rachel said

" he is in the nursery " maggie said

they had been talking about jacob having his own room now he was sleeping through but hadnt decided when or how to decorate the room.

rachel headed upstairs leaving jacob with maggie who was tickling him and showering him with kisses.

as rachel reached the top of the stairs she could smell paint and followed the smell to the room next to sebastian's.

as she opened the door she was surprised by what she saw sebastian was stood up a ladder painting one of the walls a pretty pale blue colour.

" morning babe" he said putting the brush in the tray and climbing down the ladder rachel walked over to him and they a had a kiss.

" morning" rachel said

" i hope you dont mind me doing this i know we should have designed it together but thruth is i bought the paint and the wallpaper months ago. it pained me to know that when he cried at night i wasnt going to be there so i figured the best i could do was to make sure he had a beautiful room that he felt safe in. the wallpaper is sky blue and but has white clouds and teddy bears on it." sebastian said

" thats adorable " rachel said

" so your not mad" sebastian asked before kissing her forehead.

" why would i be md its a beautiful idea and it means alot to me that you had planned to do it" rachel said

" im pleased your not mad but could you leave i dont want you to see it until its finished." sebastian said

" ok i will be downstairs " rachel said

that evening

rachel was in the bath with jacob he wasnt as scared of the water anymore he was sat on her knee splashing around.

" look jacob its a little duck" rachel said playing with his toy which mad him laugh as sebastian  walked into the bathroom he smiled at his son who now wanted his dad.

" come to daddy where is my little man daddy needs a cuddle yes i do" sebastian said picking up jacob's towel before picking him up.

as rachel got out of the bath and sorted the bathroom out she headed into the bedroom to find sebastian getting jacob ready for bed rachel went to get her nighty.

" dont even think about it rachel i have had a long hard day and i need help with my sore muscles your nighty isnt required " sebastian said

" honestly " she giggled.

" the nursery is finished but wait until morning i want you to see it when its all dried" sebastian said

" i cant believe you have finished it" rachel said

" niether can i guess i loved doing it so much i got carried away" sebastian said kissing jacob who was almost falling asleep in his arms.

the next morning

rachel was woken up to the sight of a pair of perfect green eyes looking at her a twinkle of playfulness in them.

" seb " rachel said sitting up in bed.

" jacob is still asleep come see his nursery " sebastian said rachel nodded and climbed out of bed and followed him to the nursery.

" close your eyes" sebastian said as they reached the door.

" ok" rachel said  doing just that.

sebastian guided her into the room the smell of the fresh paint still filled the room.

" on three one...two...three" sebastian said as rachel opened her eyes he couldn't believe it the room was beautiful. three od the walls were wallpapered and like sebastian had said their were sky blue but with fluffy white clouds on the and onnthe clouds were teddybears. however that wasnt what caught her attention it was the wall opposite the doorway that made her eyes go big. it was painted pale blue which matched the blue of the paper but sebastian had stencilled on five large teddybears and each had a letter of jacob's name on their chests.

"what do you think" sebastian said rachel turned to look at him he looked nervous.

" its incredible i cant believe you have done this its unbelievable  i love it" rachel said the relief on his face was obvious.

" if you look at the middle teddybear with the c on it if you look at his back paws you will see a little surprise" sebastian said

rachel walked over and looked and saw on the right paw was a gold star and on the left was a meerkat.

" awe that is so sweet" rachel said getting emotional.

" i figured he should have something of us in here " sebastian said

" im speechless " rachel said

" do you think he will like it" sebastian asked

" he is going to love it" rachel said before wrapping her arms atound his neck and kissing him.
