just what i needed

as rachel is sat in the back seat of sebastian's car as he drives home from the bed and breakfast place she is feeling contented and happy.

thw break has done her the world of good plus the fact thatvher dads had been to the same place made her feel close to them. plus it had been nice just the three of them it was nice having family time with jacob and sebastian.

as sebastian pulled up outside the house rachel felt the most like her old self she had since discovering she was pregnant with jacob.

maggie opened the front door tpas they got out of the car she walked over to them a warm smile on her face she instinctively went and got jacob out of the car and cuddled her grandson.

" ooh i have missed you" maggie cooed

" what about me" sebastian asked as he and rachel got their things out of the boot.

" not as much as jacob though the house has been quiet without you" maggie said carrying jacob inside.

once in the house sebastian tuck their stuff upstairs rachel stood looking round the living room maggie had been busy while they had been away she had rearranged the living room.

" i see you have been busy" rachel said aa maggie still fussed over jacob

" charles decided where the couches should go i figured now i could have them how i wanted" maggie said

" have you bern alright without us" rachel asked

" yeah but im glad your back this is a big house for one person and i cant tell you how much i have missed jacob" maggie said rachel smiled seeing her son being cuddled by the only grandparent he had after all charles was never going to be in hus life.

" i feel better for the few days away i actually feel like me its a long time since i have felt like that" rachel said

" i dont think the old ravhel ever fully went i know its alright me saying that i didnt know you before everything happened but sebastian told me you were the most determined strong girl he had ever met. given what you gave been through and the way you have handled it he was right your stronger than you realise. jacob is a very lucky little boy to have such a devoted mommy" maggie said as she handed jacob back to her rachel cuddled him.

" funny you saying that because i think your the strongest person i know" rachel said to maggie.

" well i think it takes a strong woman to handle smythe men" maggie chuckled.

" talking about me" sebastian said as he walked down the stairs.

" yes " maggie said

" good" sebastian said begore stoking jacobs cheek.

" so you had a good time i hear" maghie said

" it ws amazing we had nice food we walked along the river we fed ducks i got chased by geese jacob went on a baby swing it was great" sebastian said

" you got chased by geese" maggie asked

" yeah rachel was no help she just left me to defend myself" sebastian said

" it was your own fault i told you not to feed them and i was holding jacob" rachel said

" thats right you tell him rach." maggie said

" thanks mom whose side are you on" sebastian said pretending to be upset

" rachel's " maggie laughed

" thanks alot you do realise your only son could have been eaten alive by geese" sebastian said

" seb" maggie said

" what" he replied

" shut up" maggie said

three weeks later

rachel was getting ready it's Friday night and most of the new directions and the warblers are going to breadstixs for dinner as next week is graduation rachel is in a refwlctive mood today.

although she knows with all that has happened there was no way she would have graduated its finally hitting her that most of her friends will be leaving for college soon.

" rach are you nearly ready" sebastian called up from downstairs.

" yeah" she called back checking her outfit innthe mirrir befire heading downstairs.

" you look more delicious than anythingbon breadstixs menu " sebastian said as she reached the bottom of the stairs.

" thank you so do you" rachel said wrapping her arms around him before they had a quick kiss.

maggie was having some friends round for dinner so they were taking jacob with him so sebastian had already put hos stroller in the trunk of his car.

once at breadstix rachel carried jacob inside while sebastian got his stroller out as it was rainging.

" rach" quinn called as rachel had walked inside quinn and hunter had brought beth with them too.

"hey" rachel said walking over.

" aunty tana needs a cuddle" santana said rachel saw she and sebastian were the last to arrive everyone else was already there she handed jacob to santana who was cooing over him.

" he gets cuter everytime i see him" santana said

" thank you" rachel said sitting down it was then she saw finn looking at her.

" had a little detour smythe" hunter said as sebastian brought the storller to the table and sat down.

" what" sebastian asked

" you guys are the last ones here" hunter said

" oh no i wished we had but we were merely running late" sebastian chuckled putting his arm around rachel.

" lets order" finn said

after twenty minutes of them all discussing the menu they finally ordered their food and were sat talking mainly about graduation.

" i cant believe we only have one more week left" artie said

" i know its crazy " kurt said looking at blaine.

" i cant believe im going to be without you" blaine said

" i know but you have to keep rachel company" kurt said smiling at her.

" i know if anyone had a bet on which jew would be be resitting senior year the money would have being on me" puck said

" that is true" santana said

" yeah who would have thought rachel wouldnt be graduating " finn said rachel frowned at him why was he been like that he had hardly spoken to her since her dads had died.

" whats that supposed to mean" sebastian said tightening his arm around her.

" leave it" rachel said

" no im not having him saying anything about you" sebastian said

"drop the act smythe dont act like you care about her when its all your fault its because of you she isnt graduating " finn said.

" leave them alone" tina said

" no admit it guys rachel would be all excited about new york if it wasnt for him" finn said

" she is going to new york just alittle later than planned" blaine said.

" well im not going to seat her and watch him fawn o er her when he destroyed her life" finn said getting up and leaving rachel felt on the verge of tears.

" ignore him" quinn said rachel nodded but finn had spoiled the mood she was in.
